SummaryUnder the direction of the Clinic Supervisor, assists medical staff in examination and treatment of patients. Maintains exam and treatment rooms, operates medical equipment, and gives injections and/or treatments. 
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Maintain supply and inventory for exam room, in accordance with clinic and OSHA requirements.</li><li>
Review patient charts for completeness, as well as order processing, for referrals, lab, x-ray, etc.</li><li>
Inform scheduled patients of any delays due to physician's lateness, emergencies, schedule backup, etc.</li><li>
Log patient information in respective data banks (i.e. State Immunization Tracking System).</li><li>
Responsibly upkeeps and maintains patient care areas. Stocks supplies.</li><li>
Keeps Medical Assistant work area clean and tidy.</li><li>
Anticipates need for assessment and monitoring of patients prior to and during examination, treatment, emergency, acute illness or procedure.</li><li>
Prepares and assists patient for examination/treatment/procedure by medical staff.</li><li>
Greets, assesses and interviews patient. Obtains past medical and surgical history. Family history, social history and complete set of vital signs. Reviews current medications, allergy history, chief complaint and brief interrogation of complaint.</li><li>
Acts as liaison between doctor and patient.</li></ul> 

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS<ul><li>
Knowledge of injection levels and procedures, for both children and adults.</li><li>
Knowledge of universal precautions and blood bourne pathogens.</li><li>
Ability to document clearly, patient vital signs and chief complaint, as well as pay close attention to charting detail.</li><li>
Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.</li><li>
Ability to manage patient flow in a fast paced clinic environment.</li><li>
Willingness to work flexible hours in order to meet patient care needs/demands.</li></ul> 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
High school graduate or equivalent, with completion of a Medical Assistant program, from an accredited school or training program.
State certification and EPIC experience are preferred. 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
Experience in a community health, public health, or in a community hospital, a plus.

Summary
A Building Maintenance Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that physical facilities, whether commercial, residential, or institutional, are kept in optimal condition. This professional oversees the day-to-day operations of maintenance services, plans and executes preventative maintenance strategies, addresses urgent repair needs, and champions standards for safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
The Building Maintenance Manager combines technical know-how with leadership abilities, effectively bridging hands-on work and administrative oversight. Their effectiveness directly impacts the longevity of building assets, the satisfaction of occupants, and the overall operational costs of a property.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<ul><li>
Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the building and grounds staff/vendors to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the Clinic's buildings and grounds.</li><li>
Receive, prioritize, schedule, and provide the timely and satisfactory completion of work requests for the clinic's buildings and grounds.
</li><li>Maintenance Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel, including electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, janitorial staff, security and other specialists. Ensure all building systems, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and safety, are functioning properly and maintained according to industry standards and local regulations.</li><li>
Preventative Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all building systems and equipment. Schedule regular inspections, servicing, and necessary replacements to reduce downtime, prevent major repairs, and extend asset lifespans.</li><li>
Repair Management: Respond to work orders and emergency repair needs in a timely fashion. Diagnose problems, assign tasks, and oversee the completion of all repairs while minimizing disruptions to building operations.</li><li>
Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage the maintenance budget, monitor expenditures, and seek opportunities to optimize costs. Obtain quotes, evaluate vendor proposals, and manage contracts for outsourced work.</li><li>
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., OSHA, fire safety codes, ADA). Conduct regular safety inspections, maintain records, and implement corrective actions as needed.</li><li>
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers. Oversee the quality, safety, and timeliness of outsourced maintenance and repair work.</li><li>
Inventory and Asset Management: Oversee the procurement and inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment. Maintain detailed records of equipment warranties, service histories, and asset conditions.</li><li>
Project Coordination: Plan and manage small to medium-sized renovation and upgrade projects. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.</li></ul>
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS<ul><li>
Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of management, physicians, clinicians, and staff.</li><li>
At least 3 years' experience in a facilities position, preferably in a healthcare setting.</li><li>
Excellent computer and communications skills. Overall knowledge of clinical services.</li><li>
Ability to direct, manage, and coordinate all areas of facility services consistent core competencies.</li><li>
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills along with the ability to listen, understand, and influence.</li><li>
Displays professionalism in all communications.</li><li>
Ability to respond effectively and meet time deadlines.</li><li>
Effective and decisive under pressure caused by emergency situations.</li><li>
Independent/flexible problem solver with the ability to think and reason as well as cope positively with changes in the work environment.</li><li>
Ability to relate well to people of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.</li></ul>
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.</li><li>
Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Building Operator Certification (BOC), or similar credentials are highly valued.</li><li>
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in building or facilities maintenance.</li></ul>
