Job Title: Senior Procurement Quality Engineer &ndash; PipingDepartment: Project Quality DepartmentReports To: Procurement Lead Engineer/Project Quality ManagerLocation: EPC Home OfficeRole OverviewThe Senior Procurement Quality Engineer (Piping) is responsible for ensuring that all procured piping materials (pipes, fittings, flanges, valves) and mechanical equipment meet the strict quality requirements of the Client and International Codes. This role focuses on the Vendor Quality Management lifecycle&mdash;from pre-award technical evaluation to final release for shipment&mdash;ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, API Q1, and project-specific specifications (such as ADNOC AGES-GL-13-001)Key Responsibilities1.Pre-Award &amp; Vendor Qualification&middot; Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE): Review vendor quality proposals to ensure compliance with material requisitions and project specifications&middot; Vendor Audits: Lead or participate in pre-award quality audits and shop capability assessments for manufacturers of critical piping components&middot; Vendor Selection: Assist in the selection of vendors from the Approved Vendor List (AVL), ensuring they possess valid ISO 9001/API Q1 certifications.2. Post-Award Quality Planning&middot; Kick-Off Meetings (KOM): Lead Quality clarifications during Vendor KOMs to define communication channels, hold points, and document deliverables&middot; Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIM): Chair PIMs at vendor shops for critical items (Criticality Rating 1 &amp; 2) to finalize inspection scope and witness points&middot; Document Review: Review and approve vendor quality documents, including:&middot; Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)&middot; Manufacturing Procedure Specifications (MPS).&middot; Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS/PQR).&middot; NDT Procedures and Personnel Qualifications.3. Inspection Management &amp; Surveillance&middot; TPI Management: Manage and coordinate Third-Party Inspection (TPI) agencies. Review TPI reports for accuracy and completeness.&middot; Witnessing: Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), hydro-tests, and final inspections for critical piping packages and valves.&middot; Material Traceability: Ensure strict Positive Material Identification (PMI) and traceability for all materials, especially CRA (Corrosion Resistant Alloys) and high-pressure components.4. Non-Conformance &amp; Deliverables&middot; NCR Management: Manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process. Review root cause analysis and verify corrective actions for manufacturing defects.&middot; Certification Review: Validate EN 10204 Type 3.1 and 3.2 Material Test Certificates (MTCs) against chemical/mechanical properties required by the code.&middot; Material Record Books (MRB): Review and endorse the final Vendor Data Book (MRB) prior to the issuance of the Inspection Release Certificate (IRC).Qualifications &amp; RequirementsThe minimum requirements for a Senior Quality role:EducationBachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering (Mandatory).ExperienceMinimum 15 years of total industrial experience.Minimum 5&ndash;8 years of specific experience in QA/QC for Oil &amp; Gas EPC projects (Procurement/Vendor Quality focus).Extensive experience with piping commodities (line pipe, fittings, flanges) and valves (ball, gate, globe, check).Certifications (Mandatory)ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (IRCA Registered).Welding Certification: CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS CWI.NDT Level II: ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, and PT (Must be able to interpret results).Technical KnowledgeDeep knowledge of ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), ASME B16.5/B16.34 (Valves/Flanges), and API standards.Familiarity with NACE requirements for sour service environments.Understanding of Ex-Stock Material recertification requirementsJob Type: Full-time

Senior Procurement Quality Engineer – Piping

Role OverviewTo Ensure Client requirements (AGES) are captured in the Qa/Qc documentation ( ITPs &amp; Procedures) for all Packages related to piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation etc.Key Responsibilities&middot; Review project specifications, coating datasheets, and client procedures, and translate them into paint system requirements and method statements&middot; Select coating systems (primers, intermediates, topcoats, linings, FBE, etc.) based on service conditions (temperature, immersion, UV, CUI, fireproofing, chemical exposure).&middot; Define surface preparation requirements (e.g., Sa 2&frac12;, profile range, soluble salt limits) and application parameters (DFT ranges, number of coats, overcoating intervals, curing conditions).&middot; Prepare and maintain painting procedures, ITPs, QA/QC plans, and work instructions for shop and field painting.&middot; Support or lead qualification of coating systems (adhesion tests, holiday tests, bend tests, aging/exposure trials) as required by project or standards.&middot; Define manpower, equipment, and consumable requirements (abrasive, paint, thinners, masking, scaffolding) and monitor their usage&middot; Troubleshoot defects (runs, sags, pinholes, blisters, poor adhesion, under‑cure) and define corrective actions&middot; Work closely with Painting/Coating Inspectors to ensure implementation of ITPs and inspection hold/witness points.&middot; Review and approve inspection records, test reports, NCRs, and repairs; support root cause analysis and corrective actions&middot; Ensure that painting records are compiled for MDR/turnover dossiers (batch numbers, DFT logs, environmental records, repair histories).QualificationsEducation: Engineering Diploma or Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.Experience: Minimum 10 years in Oil &amp; Gas inspection (Source Inspection focus), ADNOC work experience and ADNOC approval are preferred. Post certification Experience over 7 years is a mustCertifications:NACE CIP Level II or III (Peer Review) OR BGAS-CSWIP Grade 1/2.ISO 9001 Internal Auditor.Technical Knowledge: ISO 12944, SSPC standards, and specific experience with internal linings and thermal spray aluminum (TSA).Job Type: Full-time
