The ideal candidate is passionate about learning how to use data to solve real-world problems in the finance domain. This role is designed for someone at the beginning of their data science career who wants to gain hands-on experience, make tangible contributions, and continue to grow their technical and analytical skills.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
 
 <ul>

 Support senior data scientists in the development of AI and machine learning models.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with data collection, cleaning, and exploration tasks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to feature engineering and model training using Python-based tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in testing and validating models under the guidance of senior team members.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and selection to enhance model performance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participation in the preparation/review of simple prototypes/analytic components within more complex pipelines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to data labeling and annotation tasks, especially for text and language-based (NLP) datasets.
 </li>

 Take part in research and experimentation to explore new data science methods and tools.

 <li>
 Preparing and delivering technical presentations to clients and stakeholders to explain machine learning models, project outcomes, and analytical insights.

 REQUIREMENTS:

 Currently a junior or senior undergraduate student, or enrolled in a Master&rsquo;s program in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of statistics, Machine Learning, and major clustering, classification, and regression algorithms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with Python libraries and tools for Machine Learning (numpy/pandas, scikit-learn) and scientific computing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented environment and attention to detail.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good communication and presentation skills in English.
 </li>

 Candidate will be placed in the team of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) with an entrepreneurship soul and a focus on not only financial institutions' digitalization processes but also cross-sectoral real-world applications of AI. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering and leadership skills.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Build LLM and GenAI models validation methodologies specialized in Turkish and English.
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitate integration of the resulting system/software into existing production environment.

 Collaborate closely with local and international data scientists, domain experts, and business stakeholders to translate analytical insights into production-ready solutions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Research, prototype, and implement state-of-the-art ML/DL algorithms (including LLMs and generative AI) in real-world data science problems.

 <li>
 Lead the integration of resulting systems/software into existing production environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Engage in applied research, co-author technical papers, and represent Prometeia at data science conferences or academic collaborations.

 Demonstrate agility to multitask and adopt new technologies in a dynamic, research-driven environment.

 REQUIREMENTS:

 2-3 years of academic and/or industry experience in Machine Learning.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency and hands-on experience in Python programming.
 </li>
 <li>
 Practical experience with one or more of the following frameworks and libraries: pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, PySpark, PyTorch, transformers, NLTK, Spacy, langchain.
 </li>
 <li>
 Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, runtime analysis, and object-oriented design patterns.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in NLP and Machine Learning scientific research, or similar experience in developing language technologies for shipping POCs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with transformer-based models and deep learning
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of methods such as low-rank adaptation, quantization, distillation, retrieval augmented generation, agentic approaches, advanced prompting techniques and LLM-as-a-Judge
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of model evaluation
 </li>

 Knowledge on dataset creation and annotation processes (nice-to-have)

 Knowledge on both SQL and NoSQL databases and vector databases
