The Staff Customer Success Engineer (CSE) &ndash; AI Security Solutions is a post-sales technical leader responsible for ensuring customers successfully deploy, adopt, and realize value from Proofpoint&rsquo;s AI Security platform. This role serves as a critical bridge between customers, Support, and Engineering&mdash;driving implementation, resolving complex issues, and influencing product improvements based on real-world usage.</p></div><div><p>
The ideal candidate combines strong cybersecurity expertise with hands-on technical skills and a deep understanding of AI security risks, enabling them to guide customers through secure AI adoption.</p></div><p></p><div><p><br>
Key Responsibilities</p></div><div><p>
Implementation &amp; Onboarding</p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Lead post-sale implementation of Proofpoint AI Security solutions, including configuration, integration, and deployment</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Design and execute onboarding plans aligned with customer use cases and AI adoption goals</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Integrate AI Security capabilities with enterprise environments (endpoints, SaaS, APIs, LLM platforms, and data systems)</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Ensure successful go-live and transition to steady-state operations</p></li></ul></div><div><p>
Customer Adoption &amp; Value Realization</p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers on AI security best practices</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Drive adoption of key platform capabilities, including AI usage visibility, agent governance, and policy enforcement</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Conduct regular technical check-ins, health reviews, and optimization sessions</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Help customers operationalize AI security policies and governance frameworks</p></li></ul></div><div><p>
Technical Support &amp; Escalation Management</p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Troubleshoot complex technical issues across AI Security deployments</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Serve as the primary technical escalation point, working closely with Support and Engineering</p></li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li><p>
Reproduce issues, collect diagnostic data, and clearly communicate findings to engineering teams</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Advocate for timely resolution of customer-impacting issues</p></li></ul></div><div><p>
Cross-Functional Collaboration</p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Partner with Engineering to provide feedback on product gaps, bugs, and feature enhancements</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Collaborate with Product Management to influence roadmap based on customer needs</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Work with Customer Success Managers and Sales Engineers to ensure a seamless customer lifecycle</p></li></ul></div><div><p>

Develop and share best practices, deployment guides, and technical documentation</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Enable customers on new features and evolving AI security capabilities</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>

Required Qualifications</p></div><div><ul><li><p>
5+ years of experience in Customer Success Engineering, Technical Account Management, Support Engineering, or similar roles</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Experience in enterprise software deployments on end user devices and cloud environments</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Experience in AI Agent development in environments such as Amazon EKS, Google GKE and Azure AKS</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Proxy, Firewall, CASB and SIEM</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Hands-on experience with system integrations, APIs, and enterprise environments</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work cross-functionally with engineering teams</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences</p></li></ul></div></div><p></p><div><div><p><br>

Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable compensation and/or equity. Base Pay Range: 166,500.00 - 244,200.00 USD<p></p><p>
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:</p>
Base Pay Range: 136,200.00 - 199,760.00 USD<p></p><p>
All other cities and states excluding those listed above:</p>
Base Pay Range: 124,100.00 - 182,050.00 USD</div>
