Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Italian Pizza Chef to join our culinary team. The Pizza Chef will be responsible for preparing authentic Italian-style pizzas, managing the pizza station, ensuring food quality, and maintaining high hygiene standards. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of traditional Italian pizza-making techniques, ingredients, and baking methods.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare a wide range of Italian-style pizzas, including Neapolitan, Roman, and gourmet variations.</li><li>Manage dough preparation: mixing, kneading, proofing, stretching, and shaping according to authentic Italian standards.</li><li>Handle pizza toppings, sauces, cheeses, and high-quality ingredients.</li><li>Operate and maintain pizza ovens (wood-fired / gas / electric) at optimal temperatures.</li><li>Monitor food quality, portion control, and consistency for every order.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the pizza station and adhere to food safety &amp; hygiene guidelines.</li><li>Develop new pizza recipes and seasonal menu items.</li><li>Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.</li><li>Check inventory, request ingredients, and ensure proper stock levels.</li><li>Train junior staff on pizza preparation and oven handling.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience as an Italian Pizza Chef or Pizza Maker in a restaurant or pizzeria.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Italian pizza-making techniques, including dough fermentation and oven handling.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure during busy hours.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.</li><li>Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with wood-fired oven operation.</li><li>Knowledge of Italian cuisine beyond pizza (pasta, breads, antipasti).</li><li>Culinary diploma or certification (optional but preferred).</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to stand for long periods during service.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 15&ndash;20 kg (flour bags, dough trays).</li></ul>Job Type: Full-time
