Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at our Proprium Specialty Pharmacy in Chesapeake, VA.
</h1>$5,000 Sign on Bonus for Qualified Candidates!
Location: Chesapeake, VA 23320
Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)
Shift: Rotating Days shift
Hours: 8am-5pm
Occasional Saturdays
The Specialty Pharmacy Tech performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.

Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner</li><li>
Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care</li><li>
Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed</li><li>
Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information</li><li>
Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements</li><li>
Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately</li><li>
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.</li><li>

A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice</li></ul>
Education<ul><li>
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)</li></ul>
Certification/Licensure<ul><li>
Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)</li><li>
CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Preferred)</li></ul>
Experience<ul><li>
1 Year Pharmacy Experience (Preferred)</li></ul>
