Job Title: Marine Service TechnicianAbout: Propulsion Systems, Inc. is a repair Facility located in South Seattle. We provide Field Service Engineers &amp; Manufacturing for Controllable Pitch Propellers, Thrusters, PTO's, Shaft Brakes, Electronic and Pneumatic Controls for marine applications.Salary/Compensation:$25 - $50 an hour (Dependent on experience level)Duties and Responsibilities:&middot; Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and testing of engines, propellers, and steering mechanisms equipment&middot; Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on marine vessels&middot; Installing and servicing propulsion, electrical, and hydraulic systems on marine vessels&middot; Constructing or replacing parts using technical drawings, hand tools, and power tools&middot; Documenting repairs, parts used, and time spent on service jobs&middot; Liaising with supervisors, vendors, and clients to coordinate service tasksPerks/Benefits:&middot; Safe Harbor 401k through ADP&middot; 2 Weeks&rsquo; vacation after the first year of employment&middot; No tools required, all items supplied by PSI&middot; Two sets of coveralls and one pair of work boots provided per year after probationary period.&middot; Flexible work schedule / start time&middot; Training and additional schooling is offered after the 90 days of employment through the Industrial Machinery Technician apprenticeship program at the Machinist InstituteQualifications:&middot; Education: High school diploma or equivalent.&middot; Practical experience with marine tools, equipment, and repair techniques is advantageous.&middot; Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics&middot; Conduct inspections on marine components both in place and when removed&middot; Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and self-discipline&middot; Good hand-eye coordination and ability to follow written and verbal instructions&middot; Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and work in varying positions for extended periods&middot; Exposed to hazards/risks that require body protection (gloves, pants, steel toes, sleeves, safety glasses, hard hats, etc)Requirements:&middot; Keeping detailed records of repair and maintenance work&middot; Clear written and verbal communication skills, Patience, Eye for details&middot; Willingness to work in challenging weather conditions and irregular and long hours&middot; Travel to different job sites, sometimes on short notice&middot; Work independently or as part of a small team&middot; Valid driver&rsquo;s license and the ability to obtain TWIC, passport, or other security clearances&middot; Ensuring compliance with safety regulationsJob Types: Full-time, InternshipPay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
