 YOUR IMPACT
 
 
 
 As a Junior AI Solutions Engineer, you will join our Enterprise AI team to accelerate Proxima Fusion&rsquo;s operational and technical workflows. You will be responsible for identifying, designing, and deploying AI-driven automations that eliminate bottlenecks across the organization. This is a role for a builder who thrives in an agile environment and is excited about applying the latest AI technology to solve real-world startup challenges at high speed.
 
 
 
 What You Will Do
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Design and implement sophisticated automation architectures using tools like n8n, LangGraph and Python, integrating LLM capabilities into the core of Proxima&rsquo;s business and technical operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Orchestrate our ecosystem by integrating AI workflows with existing data sources and tools, including Google Drive, Slack, project management software, and meeting infrastructure.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deploy and manage AI-driven microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), utilizing Cloud Run, Vertex AI, and Vector Databases.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and optimize agentic workflows that leverage REST APIs, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and multi-modal Generative AI (Text, Image, and Video).
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with the Enterprise AI Team to translate high-level system designs into functional prototypes, validating results directly with internal stakeholders.
 </li>

 Integrate with our Software Development and Dev-Platform team to ensure all AI deployments follow Proxima&rsquo;s infrastructure and coding best practices

YOUR IMPACT
Proxima Fusion&rsquo;s simulation-first approach will be defined by the software infrastructure and tools enabling it. Our challenge is to build software enabling exploration of the vast hyper-dimensional space of stellarator design in order to maximise feasibility and minimise cost.
The Dev Platform team is building the foundation for our highly integrated, simulation-driven approach to stellarator design. Our core data, compute, and analysis infrastructure enables research and development across the company. In this role, you will collaborate directly with fusion experts, engineers, and AI researchers to create infrastructure and shape the way we develop software. If you have strong software skills, a focus on product quality, and a proactive mindset, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to a future powered by fusion.
WHAT YOU WILL DO<ul><li>
Design and develop a platform that helps simulation, optimization and stellarator design teams to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals more efficiently.</li><li>
Champion the Cloud Infrastructure Operations.</li><li>
Manage general cloud infrastructure (including IaaC, permission management, and cloud efficiency).</li><li>
Support the democratization of cloud computing (e.g. K8s, Ray, Dask, Docker, PEX).</li><li>
Unify and streamline the development experience (including CI/CD, Devcontainers, and monorepos).</li><li>
Improving observability.</li><li>
Manage Distributed Computing and High-Performance Computing clusters for research, stellarator design and optimization.</li><li>
Raise the bar in our cross-org DevOps practices and optimize our DORA metrics.</li></ul>
WHO YOU ARE<ul><li>
Visionary team players with the ability to lead internal and external work packages within multidisciplinary technical teams in fast-paced, dynamic settings.</li><li>
Deep understanding of fusion fuel cycles, with knowledge of tritium gas exhaust processing, separation, storage, accountancy and containment.</li><li>
Proven success in procuring and commissioning tritium equipment.</li><li>
Experience developing and owning tritium accountancy frameworks, including quantification of permeation and retention.</li><li>
Experience validating fuel cycles systems through a combination of simulations, testing, and prototyping.</li></ul>
