The Export Control Specialist is responsible for the managing organization&rsquo;s end-to-end export control compliance, ensuring strict adherence to global, regional, and national laws and proactively managing risks related to cross-border transactions, dual-use goods, and technology transfers.Key Responsibilities- Export Control Regulatory Intelligence &amp; Governance<ul><li>Monitor, research, and analyze international, regional, and national laws, agency guidance, and enforcement trends on export controls (e.g., EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use Regulation), focusing on regimes beyond indirect sanctions.</li><li>Develop and continually revise export control compliance programs in line with legislative, judicial, executive, and agency requirements, emphasizing robust license determination processes and accurate classification of goods and technologies.</li><li>Maintain a dynamic log of legislative changes, regulatory updates, license requirements, lists of controlled items, destinations, and end uses.</li><li>Ensure operational readiness for new and evolving LDRs and proactively implement workflow changes to address control list updates and new embargoes.</li><li>Design, implement, and monitor workflows supporting License Determination Rules (LDR), including technology/product classification, jurisdiction assessment, and license application triggers.</li></ul>- Export Control Workflow Design<ul><li>Collaborate with development and technical teams to implement and update screening protocols, LDR logic, and escalation paths in ERP systems.</li><li>Translate new laws, judicial decisions, and agency guidance into concrete changes in automated screening systems and manual review procedures.</li></ul>- Stakeholder Communication &amp; Legal Advisory<ul><li>Act as the organization&rsquo;s primary advisor for export control, presenting regulatory changes, LDR updates, and operational impacts to executive management and technical teams.</li><li>Liaise with regulatory bodies and trade authorities during audits or regulatory investigations and serve as the point of contact for export license-related queries.</li></ul>- Documentation, Quality Control &amp; Problem Resolution<ul><li>Write and maintain clear documentation of processes, workflows, and regulatory updates.</li><li>Conduct quality control checks, troubleshoot workflow/data issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure data integrity and compliance.</li><li>Develop periodic reports and updates for executive leadership regarding regulatory status, export control risks, and improvement initiatives.</li><li>Ensure processes are aligned with service level agreements (SLAs).</li><li>Collaborate with management on long-term compliance goals and support the implementation of compliance products.</li></ul>Candidate ProfileEducation &amp; Experience<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or master&rsquo;s degree in law, International Relations, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience interpreting legislative texts and judicial rulings affecting compliance.</li><li>Experience in regulatory compliance, data investigation, and analysis of international business structures.</li><li>Proven working knowledge of international export control regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use Regulation, LDRs).</li><li>Experience implementing export control compliance programs and managing regulatory reporting obligations.</li><li>Experience with Custom Tariff and/or ILE ( Sanction ) is a Huge advantage</li><li>Must be amenable to work CEST</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Deep legislative analysis and ability to operationalize LDRs, control list updates, and export licensing requirements.</li><li>Strong analytical and research skills; adept at workflow design and process automation for export controls.</li><li>Clear communicator with proven ability to translate complex legal/regulatory requirements into practical business procedures.</li><li>Proactive problem-solver with flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing regulatory environments.</li><li>Good understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) and how to use LLM to improve current processes</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: E&pound;10.00 - E&pound;20.00 per year

analysis and proactively manage deviations.</li><li>Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.</li><li>Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of projects.</li><li>Implement structured change request processes for any scope, timeline, or budget adjustments post sign-off.</li><li>Maintain high standards of documentation and ensure strict adherence to organizational processes and project standards throughout the lifecycle.</li></ul>- Organizational Leadership<ul><li>Provide organizational and disciplinary leadership to the operations/support/IT admin team.</li><li>Manage team capacity, roles, and performance evaluations.</li><li>Oversee team functions, ensuring consistent delivery of assigned tasks and alignment with business objectives.</li><li>Understand employees&rsquo; roles and responsibilities well enough to support, guide, and optimize performance &ndash; without requiring hands-on technical execution.</li><li>The person will concentrate on managing the tasks and workloads, keeping the IT personnel accountable for following internal SLA&rsquo;s and deadlines etc.</li></ul>Process and Meeting Management<ul><li>Establish and maintain a clear and efficient meeting structure to manage team activities.</li><li>Ensure high-quality meeting documentation, including decisions, next steps, and task allocations.</li><li>Develop and maintain central tools such as checklists, taskboards and to-do lists to standardize and streamline team processes.</li></ul>RequirementsRequired Skills:Expertise in classical project management methodologies is essential, with a proven track record in:<ul><li>Waterfall and Hybrid project lifecycles.</li><li>Detailed upfront planning using Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Gantt charts, and Critical Path Method (CPM).</li><li>Formal project control techniques, including baseline management, Earned Value Management (EVM), and rigorous change control processes.</li><li>Practical experience with open source project management suites (e.g., OpenProject, ProjectLibre) for creating project structure plans, detailed Gantt charts, and milestone tracking.</li><li>Confident use of collaboration tools such as enterprise wikis (e.g., DokuWiki, BookStack) for central documentation and Mattermost for structured communication.</li><li>Very good knowledge of visualizing processes and workflows with tools such as draw.io.</li></ul>Professional Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in one of the following or related fields: Business Administration, Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Operations Management, Project Management</li><li>5 + years experience in Project management, including 3 + years in team/organizational leadership.</li><li>Proven experience in structured project management, especially in risk-based planning, resource allocation, and budgeting.</li><li>PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is an advantage but not required.</li><li>Proven and demonstrable expertise in the core principles of classical project management (as outlined in the PMBOK Guide) is required</li><li>Strong capabilities in upfront planning, including scope definition, scheduling, and documentation.</li><li>Familiarity with IT-related topics is an advantage.</li></ul>Personal Competencies:<ul><li>Excellent written communication and documentation skills.</li><li>High level of logical reasoning and structured thinking.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly and concisely.</li><li>Reliable, organized, and accountable with a proactive and pragmatic leadership style.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.</li><li>Strategic thinking and a proactive mindset.</li><li>Able to motivate and push the teams to reach expected outcomes.</li><li>Comfortable presenting to executives and collaborating with other departments.</li></ul>Job Type: Temporary Contract length: 3 monthsPay: E&pound;1.00 - E&pound;2.00 per hour
