Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) Mental Health Intake Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking Neuropsychological Evaluations , providing a warm, welcoming environment while efficiently managing intake processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by coordinating initial assessments and supporting seamless service delivery.Duties<ul><li>We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Intake Specialist to manage the intake process for new patients, ensuring a seamless and efficient transition into our clinical services. The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health settings, strong communication skills, and proficiency with relevant software tools.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Receive and verify insurance eligibility for new patients and assign them to appropriate clinicians.</li><li>Ensure all necessary psychosocial and psychiatric information, including patient emails and emergency contacts, is collected before intake assessments.</li><li>Prioritize assignment of new cases to therapists building caseloads, using clinical judgment and experience.</li><li>Maintain logs tracking patient assignments, intake status, and admission dates.</li><li>Communicate regularly with Managers , Clinicians and Techs</li><li>Notify referral agencies of patient status following intake appointments.</li><li>Manage schedule inventory and daily schedule distribution to support billing and rescheduling processes.</li><li>Maintain organized and current filing of office records</li><li>Assist with additional duties as assigned by Billing Director, Clinic Directors and/or Clinicians</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work (BSW) ,Social Services, or Mental health Counseling</li><li>At least one year of experience in a mental health clinic as a therapist or intern.</li><li>Proficient with Eligibility portals, Google Docs and Sheets, Microsoft Word, data entry, and strong overall computer skills.</li><li>Knowledge/ Proficiency with E Clinical Works is a plus</li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Fluency in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages</li><li>Prior experience working in a medical or mental health office environment preferred</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health services</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting</li><li>Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and record keeping</li><li>Experience working in a healthcare setting required , Mental health or Psych preferred</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism</li></ul>Join us if you&rsquo;re passionate about supporting mental health initiatives and eager to help diverse clients access the care they deserve.
