Parsons Preschool is seeking a dedicated and experienced Educational Director to lead our early childhood program serving children with disabilities alongside our Universal Pre-K classrooms. The Educational Director will provide instructional leadership, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and support a high-quality, inclusive learning environment for all students.</p>
<ul><li>
Key Responsibilities:</li><li>
Provide leadership and oversight of all educational programming, including special education and UPK classrooms</li><li>
Supervise, coach, and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high quality instruction and best practices in early childhood education</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all state, city, and licensing regulations, including special education mandates and UPK standards</li><li>
Develop, implement, and monitor curriculum aligned with early childhood and special education frameworks</li><li>
Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)</li><li>
Conduct classroom observations and provide ongoing professional development to staff</li><li>
Collaborate with families, therapists, and related service providers to support student progress</li><li>
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for regulatory agencies</li><li>
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture for staff, students, and families</li><li>
Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention</li><li>
Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are consistently met</li><li>
Qualifications:</li><li>
New York State School Building Leader (SBL) Certification required</li><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field</li><li>
Minimum of 35 years of experience in early childhood education, with supervisory experience preferred</li><li>
Experience working with children with disabilities strongly preferred</li><li>
Knowledge of NYSED, DOE, and UPK regulations and standards</li><li>
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills</li><li>
Ability to support and mentor diverse teaching staff</li><li>
Preferred Qualifications:</li><li>
Experience in an inclusive preschool or special education setting</li><li>
Familiarity with IEP development and implementation</li><li>
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus</li><li>
