</h2>The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the creation of purchase orders from requisitions submitted by our PTC business areas, order tracking and management as well as issue resolution. This position will also assist with the review of supplier portal submissions and workflow tracking. Other responsibilities will include maintaining vendor relations, procurement operations reporting, and training in procurement processes as needed.
 
The incumbent works cross-functionally with internal departments and external partners on procurement-related matters while continuing to identify and support continuous process improvements within their scope of work to drive further efficiencies within the Finance Shared Services team.
 
 
The Procurement Specialist supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.

</h2>Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Work across business units to assist with the planning and prioritization related to purchasing activities.
</li><li>Review requisition submissions for appropriateness, correct classification, supporting documentation where relevant; oversee and manage the approval process; update and maintain purchase orders through completion.
</li><li>Work closely with our vendors to create, transmit and prioritize approved purchase orders.
</li><li>Track order acknowledgements, prepare and communicate order information as needed (delivery dates, costs, shortage, and back-order information).
</li><li>Communicate internally as a liaison for the procurement team to ensure order information from our vendors/suppliers is shared appropriately and in a timely manner with requesters regarding inventory shortages, order status, etc. for planning purposes.
</li><li>Support the PTC supplier portal process by assisting with the supplier portal workflow process through validating vendor data against PTC required information and documentation. This role will support vendors as needed to complete the supplier portal registration process.
</li><li>Assist with the development and execution of procurement reporting in support of day-to-day procurement operations, to fulfill audit requirements and support internal controls.
</li><li>Support the accounts payable team and finance division in resolving receiving and invoice discrepancies.
</li><li>Support PTC end users with communications and training as needed regarding requisition submission. Maintain training information for accuracy/changes as needed.
</li><li>Assist with the development, identification, and execution of procurement best practices through benchmarking and end to end process improvements.
</li><li>Act as a liaison for procurement to satisfy audit requests related to procurement processes and reporting.
</li><li>Perform other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management.
</li></ul>Qualifications:
<ul><li>A high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of current, related Procurement and/or vendor relations experience required, ideally within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related industry.
</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically excel.
</li><li>Excellent verbal and written business communication skills are required.
</li><li>Attention to detail, organizational skills and good customer service skills are needed.
</li><li>Excellent planning, organization and time management skills include the ability to support and prioritize multiple tasks.
</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
</li></ul><ul><li>Special knowledge or skills and/or licenses or certificates preferred.
</li></ul><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Finance or related discipline.
</li><li>Previous professional experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment.
</li><li>Experience working with an ERP system utilizing procurement modules is preferred
</li><li>Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
</li><li>Experience working in a SOX regulated environment.
</li></ul>Expected Base Salary Range:
$68,700 &ndash; $74,000. The base salary offered will be contingent on assessment of candidate education level, background, and experience relative to the requirements of the position they are being considered for, as well as review of internal equity.
In addition to base salary, PTC employees are also eligible for short- and long-term incentives. All eligible employees may also enroll in PTC&rsquo;s medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans.
