Job Overview/Summary:</b><br>

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated <b>Medical Director Veterinarian</b> to lead our Denver-based veterinary practice. This role combines clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities, including setting medical standards, mentoring staff, driving growth, and ensuring top-quality patient and client care. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, skilled clinician, and proven leader with a passion for advancing veterinary medicine.</p>

Responsibilities:</b></p>
<p><i>
Leading Medical Care</i></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Establish and oversee medical standards, protocols, and best practices (wellness care, surgery, diagnostics, anesthesia, pain management, dental care, recordkeeping).</p>
</li>
<li><p>Ensure high-quality patient care and excellent client communication.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Maintain accurate medical records and timely charge capture.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Identify and implement new services to enhance care offerings.</p>
</li>
</ul><p><i>Leading Staff and Practice</i></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Assist with hiring, onboarding, and mentoring veterinarians and technicians.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Support ongoing staff training, CE programs, and mentorship initiatives.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and performance reviews.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and clinic policies.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Lead team meetings and foster a collaborative, innovative culture.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Supervise and coach associate veterinarians, conducting case reviews and evaluations.</p>
</li>
</ul><p><i>Financial Oversight</i></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Drive revenue growth while managing expenses.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Assist in developing annual financial plans and budgets.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Monitor clinic performance and support marketing/community outreach efforts.</p>
</li>
</ul><p><b>Primary Skills:</b></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Strong clinical expertise in general medicine, surgery, and diagnostics.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Proven leadership, coaching, and team management skills.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills.</p>
</li>
</ul><p><b>Secondary Skills (Good to Have):</b></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Business acumen in budgeting, financial planning, and marketing.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Experience with practice growth and community involvement.</p>

<li><p>Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Valid Veterinary License in the state</p>
</li>
<li><p>Demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to manage people and drive results.</p>
