About the Opportunity:
As a Quality Engineer I, you will provide support to operational and development programs to enable and deliver zero defect projects utilizing engineering and problem-solving skills. This role also supports the development and implementation of quality processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. As Quality Engineer I you will also assist with inspections, testing, non-conformance management, and documentation.

Responsibilities:<div><ul><li>
Support writing procedure, collecting and analyzing data.</li><li>
Support in implementing and maintaining the quality management system. (AS9100, AS13100, NADCAP)</li><li>
Support the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.</li><li>
Utilize Quality Engineering tools like PFMEA, Measurement System Analysis, and Control Plans to monitor and improve internal processes.</li><li>
Work with cross-functional teams to identify the root causes of quality issues implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).</li><li>
Assist in evaluating supplier performance and quality, supporting supplier audits, and assisting with the development of quality improvement plans.</li><li>
Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality.</li><li>
Participate in continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen, LEAN, etc.</li><li>
Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system and customer requirements.</li><li>
Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.</li></ul></div>
Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.</li><li>
Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications:<div><ul><li>
At least 1 year of quality engineering experience</li><li>
Aerospace experience.</li><li>
Understanding of quality principles and methodologies.</li><li>
Experience and training in quality systems including AS9100 and NADCAP</li><li>
Proficiency in quality management systems, process validation, and customer specifications.</li><li>
Experience working with CAD, QMS and ERP software.</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide junior team members effectively.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with customers.</li></ul></div> 
Working Conditions<ul><li>
Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>
Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.</li><li>
Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.</li><li>
Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor</li><li>
Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.</li></ul>
