ROLE OVERVIEW
Q2IMPACT is seeking a UI/UX Designer to create intuitive, user-centered experiences for enterprise and AI-driven platforms serving public sector clients. This role is more than designing wireframes&mdash;it&rsquo;s about imagining what&rsquo;s possible, then delivering human-centered solutions that make complex systems simple, usable, and impactful.
The ideal candidate will combine design thinking, visual creativity, and a deep understanding of accessibility and compliance standards. They will work closely with product managers, our internal IT Team, and stakeholders to ensure that Q2IMPACT&rsquo;s solutions remain secure, scalable, and user-focused.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that Q2IMPACT&rsquo;s cutting-edge technologies are accessible, inclusive, and designed to empower diverse users in mission-critical environments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
User-Centered Design (30%)
<ul><li>Lead the design of end-to-end user experiences for web and mobile applications.</li>
<li>Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs aligned with Q2IMPACT branding and standards.</li>
<li>Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to validate design decisions.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508).</li>
</ul>
Collaboration &amp; Strategy (20%)
<ul><li>Partner with product managers and engineers to align design direction with business and technical requirements.</li>
<li>Translate complex workflows into intuitive, engaging user interfaces.</li>
<li>Advocate for user-centered design principles across Q2IMPACT teams.</li>
</ul>
Design Systems &amp; Execution (30%)
<ul><li>Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable component libraries.</li>
<li>Deliver production-ready assets and collaborate with developers to ensure design fidelity in implementation.</li>
<li>Iterate designs based on analytics, feedback, and evolving client needs.</li>
</ul>
Innovation &amp; Impact (20%)
<ul><li>Stay current with industry design trends, prototyping techniques, and interactive technologies.</li>
<li>Experiment with data visualization, dashboard layouts, and AI-driven UX patterns.</li>
<li>Contribute to Q2IMPACT&rsquo;s culture of innovation by exploring human-centered design in regulated and global development contexts.</li>
</ul>
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.</li>
<li>4+ years of professional UI/UX design experience in SaaS, enterprise, or government-focused environments.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and modern prototyping tools.</li>
<li>Experience conducting user research and usability testing.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and usability standards.</li>
<li>Familiarity with component-driven UI frameworks and design systems.</li>
</ul>
PREFERRED SKILLS
<ul><li>Experience designing in regulated industries (public sector, government, healthcare, finance).</li>
<li>Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to enhance collaboration with engineers.</li>
<li>Background in data visualization, dashboard design, or AI/ML product interfaces.</li>
<li>Understanding of ethical, secure, and compliant technology practices.</li>
</ul>
