<div>The ideal candidate embraces a highly collaborative and supportive environment with the drive and tenacity to see each project to completion. They will use tried and true best practices, apply coding techniques, and use staple software patterns to solve predictable real-world problems. This person should have great attention to detail, self-discipline, and high personal standards for technical excellence.</div>
<div>For this position, you&rsquo;ll be developing software for our custom, house-made microcontroller-based circuit boards, used by our products. You will use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and debugging tools, along with prototype circuits to develop and test code so our products function as intended. Our tech &amp; tools that we use include C, C++, Visual Studio, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jira, Confluence, and others.</div>
<div>Key Responsibilities:</div>
<ul><li>Design and implement firmware for microcontroller-based systems</li>
<li>Write clean, SOLID code in C/C++</li>
<li>Debug firmware and hardware issues through circuit analysis and testing</li>
<li>Work with a cross-functional team of hardware, software, controls, electrical and mechanical engineers</li>
<li>Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver Simply Efficient solutions</li>
</ul><div>Requirements:</div>
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years of experience in microcontroller programming</li>
<li>Experience in firmware design and development</li>
<li>Proficiency in C/C++ programming and RTOS</li>
<li>Disciplined usage of unit tests</li>
<li>Ability to perform circuit analysis and resolve hardware issues</li>
<li>Effective problem-solving and communication skills</li>
<li>Familiarity with Git</li>
</ul><div>Beneficial but not required:</div>
<ul><li>Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team working environment</li>
<li>Familiarity with HVAC systems</li>
<li>Familiarity with PLCs</li>
<li>Familiarity with C# Software Development</li>
<li>Experience with Altium PCB designer</li>
<li>Familiarity with product compliance standards, such as FCC 15, UL 60730, or similar</li>
<li>Familiarity with Jira and Confluence</li>
