 Job Summary
 
 
 
 The role holder will be supporting the Head of Electrical in managing engineering activities related to the design, development, coordination, implementation, execution, and control of projects, ensuring alignment with the Company&rsquo;s strategy, commitments, and goals.
 
 
 The role holder focuses on providing technical guidance, problem-solving, decision-making, and analysis of the engineering department portfolio using innovative and analytical techniques. The main responsibilities are related to the Electrical Plants/ Field areas.
 
 
 
 Key Accountabilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Oversee design of electrical systems including substations, switchgear, transformers, and emergency power systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, and protection coordination studies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with IEC standards and EPCC Contract requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist the Head of Engineering in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities to ensure alignment with Project objectives, EPCC Contract requirements, and Project procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Track and report progress of engineering deliverables, highlighting deviations and supporting recovery actions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review, verify and comment on technical documentation submitted by EPCC Contractor, including datasheets, drawings, specifications, and vendor documents.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in kick-off meetings with subcontractors to align on technical scope, quality expectations, and schedule.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow up on fabrication progress and support resolution of NCRs or fabrication defects reported by subcontractors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with the construction team to ensure proper installation of equipment and systems in accordance with engineering deliverables.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor engineering deliverables against the commissioning-driven project schedule and report deviations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with EPCC Contractor and internal teams to ensure timely completion of engineering inputs required for commissioning.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate engineering interfaces between internal departments (Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Procurement) and EPCC Contractor.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the Interface Team in technical review of spare parts, tie-in readiness, and resolution of interface-related issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in multidisciplinary reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, QRA, and 3D model reviews, and ensure closure of action items.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support identification and tracking of engineering-related risks and contribute to the Project Risk Register.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain records of technical reviews, NCR resolutions, inspection outcomes, and interface coordination.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support audit preparation and participate in lessons learned sessions.

 Desired Candidate Profile
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in electrical engineering or relevant discipline.
 </li>
 <li>
 A minimum of 5 Years of direct and relevant experience within the Oil &amp; Gas and Petrochemical Industry, or EPC company.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good exposure to process engineering software design and knowledge in all aspects of Process Engineering implementation and execution based on International Standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Having strong skills in Project Management, Leadership and team management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Preferably having experience in Ammonia &amp; Urea Major Projects.
 </li>

 Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience, with significant experience in corporate/commercial legal practice, preferably extensive knowledge of legal systems and business practices in the Middle East.

 Proven experience in managing a legal team in a complex, multinational, or regional environment.

 High proficiency in Arabic (spoken and written) is an additional advantage.

 Job Summary
 
 
 
 Role holder will assist Head of Safety and Loss Prevention Senior Engineer in implementing Process Safety Management System in the organization. The incumbent will be a key member of the Process Safety team and will interface with the appropriate operations and technical teams to support in conducting the Process Safety Risk studies for Projects and existing operations, facilitating Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies including but not limited to Hazard and Operability study (HAZOP), Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Major Hazard Analysis /Direct Hazard Analysis (MHA/DHA), Dispersion Studies and Safety Cases Studies. The role holder will comply with all relevant QAFCO Management System procedures in respect to Health, Quality, Safety and Environment.

 Promote and comply with QAFCO&rsquo;s Occupational Health &amp; Safety, Environment, Quality, Responsible Care Management Systems &amp; Product Stewardship, PSM requirements.

 Assist Head of Safety and Loss Prevention Senior Engineer in developing various documents and implementing activities related to monitoring and following-up Process Safety Management system.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop the Company Process Safety Specifications and Standards to be used in all projects and assets operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with operational and technical resources to ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow valid standards, technical requirements and good engineering practices to ensure that operations and projects are executed in line with agreed process safety specifications.
 </li>

 Lead company-wide network to develop and update process safety related requirements and procedures

 Provide, when required, specifications for the procurement of equipment and services. Conduct evaluation of bids and recommend preferred suppliers to ensure meeting optimum process safety requirements.

 Lead and/or participate in all process safety incidents investigations. Ensure that incidents root causes are identified and action plans and lessons learnt are established and communicated within the organization to avoid incident reoccurrence.

 Participate in the development of practical recommendations for process changes to mitigate, control, or eliminate process-related hazards and meet process related risk reduction objectives.

 Keep informed of technological developments and best practices in the area of responsibility in order to update knowledge, identify and recommend opportunities for increased effectiveness and/or cost reduction.

 Desired Candidate Profile

 Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering.
 </li>
 <li>
 Certifications, such as NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety, Process Safety Management, Incident Investigations &amp; Root Cause Analysis, Process Hazard Analysis are desirable.
 </li>
 <li>
 A minimum of 8 years proven successful experience in a similar position with extensive in Process Safety field within Fertilizer, Petrochemicals or Oil &amp; Gas industry.
 </li>

 Should have excellent supervisory skills.
 </li>

 Should have knowledgeable about codes, standards and recommended practices for Process Safety Management
 </li>
 <li>
 Should have good engineering judgment; ability to recognize, assess, and mitigate hazards, Attention to detail, initiative, highly organized, good analytical skills, and practical use of engineering principles

 Should have good knowledge &amp; ability to operate standard PC applications.
