As the Site Logistics Leader, you will provide leadership across multiple businesses, overseeing the entire order fulfillment process, from receiving, inventory management, distribution warehouse replenishment and direct customer shipments. This role will champion a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement while ensuring the warehouse is organized and presentable for customer tours. The Warehouse Manager directs all day-to-day warehouse operations, material handling, and shipping functions by working with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Planning and Manufacturing to ensure flawless end-to-end supply chain execution.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
<ul>
<li>Oversee daily picking, packing, and shipping to ensure accurate order fulfillment, on-time delivery, and complete customer satisfaction</li>
<li>Lead a team of 10 warehouse personnel, manage the flow and quality of work and materials, and balance workload to ensure the warehouse operates efficiently</li>
<li>Utilize WMS and ERP systems to monitor inventory levels, track incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensure inventory accuracy</li>
<li>Use, teach, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Train and mentor warehouse personnel on best practices</li>
<li>Monitor warehouse and fulfillment efficiency, identify improvement opportunities, and drive Continuous Improvement using 5S principles</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all site safety requirements, equipment maintenance requirements, and best practices for a safe and clean working environment. Champion a world-class safety culture</li>
<li>Enforce policies related to OSHA, DOT, and internal standards.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Develop and implement warehouse and distribution strategies aligned with company goals.</li>
<li>Partner with executive leadership on long-term planning, capacity, and network optimization.</li>
<li>Develop and implement workflows to drive efficiency and operational excellence through partnering with leadership on long-term planning, capacity, and business growth.</li>
</ul>
Financial& Budget Management
 
<ul>
<li>Develop and manage operating budgets (labor, equipment, capital expenditures).</li>
<li>Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiencies.</li>
<li>Analyze financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.</li>
</ul>
Leadership& Talent Development
 
<ul>
<li>Build, lead, and mentor warehouse leadership teams (managers, supervisors).</li>
<li>Drive talent development, succession planning, and workforce engagement.</li>
<li>Foster a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous learning.</li>
</ul>
Inventory& Systems Management
 
<ul>
<li>Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy and integrity across all locations.</li>
<li>Oversee WMS/ERP system optimization and data reliability.</li>
<li>Implement best practices for inventory control and material flow.</li>
</ul>
Continuous Improvement
 
<ul>
<li>Lead Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives.</li>
<li>Analyze processes and implement improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste.</li>
<li>Leverage technology, automation, and data analytics to drive performance.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications& Skills: 
<ul>
<li>Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities</li>

<li>In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse</li>

Education& Experience
 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).</li>
<li>10+ years of progressive warehouse/logistics experience working in a warehouse and fulfillment position for a temperature controlled warehouse.</li>
<li>5+ years in senior leadership or multi-site management roles.</li>
<li>Minimum &gt; Chemical manufacturing field a plus.</li>
</ul>

Job Summary
 Under direct supervision, the Buyer Planner I is responsible for, but not limited to, performing material planning activities in the Demand, Production, and Supplier Planning functions of customer demand fulfillment in order to ensure total customer satisfaction within required timeline, quality standards, and total cost constraints.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
<ul>
<li>Monitor and maintain delivery schedules / due dates in MRP system based on Customer Demand (Planning Solutions and Discrete Sales Orders) as well as forecasting techniques where applicable.</li>
<li>Analyze and provide feedback to appropriate departments on material status / requirements for fulfilling customer demand.</li>
<li>Provide lead times to the Customer Service team regarding Laird Promise Date for customer demand fulfillment.</li>
<li>Communicate with sales personnel and customers for forecast and Master Production Schedule maintenance.</li>
<li>Schedule production using a variety of inputs such as sales orders, historical data, sales forecasts, and inputs from product managers or sales management.</li>
<li>Check availability of inventory prior to firming / releasing work orders using system queries and reports.</li>
<li>Manage Supplier Schedules and Supplier Demand Visibility application as required. Support training activity for Suppliers as required.</li>
<li>Maintain discrete purchase orders& Supplier Schedules based on MRP Action Messages and new engineering change orders.</li>
<li>Monitor / measure material cost savings plans and targets; collaborate with Materials Management and Category Management teams in supplier negotiation initiatives as required.</li>
<li>Collaborate with multiple Laird Technologies factories and suppliers to ensure proper inventory levels for finished goods and components.</li>
<li>Assist with the management of inventory levels to meet customer orders, including safety& distribution stock, utilizing proven Supply Chain systems.</li>
<li>Develop, improve, and monitor reporting processes& systems to control the supply chain functions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Materials Management team to optimize supply chain and logistics solutions in order to maximize On Time Delivery to Customer request and Laird promise, while minimizing inventory investment.</li>
<li>Adheres to Laird quality and safety systems / safety standards.</li>
</ul>
REQUIREMENTS
 
<ul>
<li>Previous demonstrated experience in production/materials planning/MRP required, QAD preferred.</li>
<li>Good communication skills, written and oral / interpersonal.</li>
<li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions (P/D/C/A).</li>
<li>Strong computer skills including Microsoft Windows programs, emphasis on Excel.</li>
<li>Understanding and experience with integrated manufacturing software systems.</li>
<li>Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.</li>
</ul>
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
 
<ul>
<li>BS or BA from accredited 4-year college required.</li>
<li>One years of scheduling& planning experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.</li>
<li>Willingness and capability to complete elements of CPIM APICS within 18 months of acceptance of job position.</li>
