Position Summary:
Performs advanced level of on-site technical and administrative duties and maintains the on-site systems through accurate data recording and assessment within the manufacturing environment at Quaker Houghton&rsquo;s customers. Follows standard polices and procedures and will assist with the on-site Manager with supervision, training and coaching of site team as needed.
Job Accountabilities:
<ul><li>Collect, analyze, test, interpret and records machine samples; recommends and completes corrective actions with no direction from site staff. Perform and interpret bio-stick dip tests of all machine sumps and central systems, with little to no guidance; recommends and completes corrective actions with no direction from site staff.</li>
<li>Inspect, monitor and maintain coolant filters, washers, paint systems, air handling systems, etc. for sump changes and cleaning, as required to keep fluids within proper limits; completes corrective actions with no direction from site staff. Report and interpret all results and usage on a daily basis, via report generation; completes corrective action.</li>
<li>Properly maintain tools and utility equipment such as pumps, sump suckers, coolant dispensers, etc. in a safe and efficient manner. Inspect and perform routine maintenance on all above equipment and fluid systems including product additions, filter changes, emptying gons, sump cleaning, etc. with no guidance from site staff.</li>
<li>Assist in disposal of contaminated articles (i.e. pails, gloves, samples, etc.) in accordance with prescribed measures, including waste management and recycling initiatives.</li>
<li>Maintain and calibrate all laboratory equipment; such as scales, pH meters, glassware, incubators, etc. in accordance with site control plan.</li>
<li>Has responsibility for general cleaning of oil storage rooms, laboratory, equipment and areas of the production floor (i.e. chipping, mopping, sweeping, emptying trash, etc.).</li>
<li>Support and generate site general organization initiatives (inventory, storage rooms, labeling, etc.). Manage site lab supply inventory and order as needed.</li>
<li>Has supervisory responsibility for other Technicians including delegation and oversight of daily activities, trouble shooting and issue resolution.</li>
<li>Prepare detailed shift reports including statistical analysis sheets. Liaise directly with the customer so that changes in coolant parameters are highlighted and can then be acted upon.</li>
<li>Interact with customer&rsquo;s production and technical personnel and other suppliers
</li><li>May work in manufacturing environment with union associates.
</li><li>May require working flexible hours.</li>
<li>Carries out other duties as directed. May have tasks specifically related to quality control, metalogical heat treat and the steel industry. Provide other specifically agreed Fluidcare services as and when required - this may include operating a fork truck, recycling equipment, etc.</li>
<li>Must be able to safely work in a variety of potentially hazardous situations while adhering to Quaker Houghton's Life Saving Rules.</li>

Work Environment:
Work in a manufacturing environment; may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. May occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and trip and slip hazards. The noise level in the manufacturing environment is loud.
Ensure a safety mindset throughout designated area of responsibility.
Maintain the highest EHS standards while at customer&rsquo;s site.
Education, Experience, Skills &amp; Competencies:
Education
High school diploma or GED required, Associates Degree or some college preferred. May be required to obtain certifications/licenses.
Experience
Three to five years experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Skills and Competencies
Effective written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate intermediate reading skills. Ability to effectively present information.
Demonstrate basic mathematical skills. Precise and accurate in dealing with figures and details. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, fractions, conversions and proportions.
Must possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must have working knowledge of: Internet software, e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, project tracking and data base software.

Senior FLUIDCARE Technician

Position Summary:
Site management responsibility for the day-to-day and long-term operation of a chemical management program at Quaker Houghton&rsquo;s customer site. Includes the management and technical oversight to maintain and improve upon processes related to chemicals.
Job Accountabilities:
<ul><li>Requires extensive interaction at all levels within the customer organization including customer senior level management. Ensure customer targets and results are achieved by executing Quaker Houghton&rsquo;s Fluidcare program plans.</li>
<li>Responsibile for managing and improving upon the financial systems and methods, manage projects and manage the customer relations including the programs scope of work as determined by the contract</li>
<li>Program responsibilities include the leadership, management, development and direction of Quaker Houghton site staff (if present) that may include both exempt and/or non-exempt classified employees. Employee development and discipline responsibilities may include hiring, training (safety and technical), performance management, reviews and talent assessments. This extends to both full time and contract staff.
</li><li>Responsibile for customer satisfaction that includes leading on-going contract renewals, product conversions, business development and development of Quaker Houghton products within their program through the value proposition.</li>
<li>Manage the site based on established SOW (Statement of Work) and the contract. Duties may include: analytical testing/reporting, chemical addition, equipment cleaning, project management, value generation (meeting or exceeding guaranteed cost savings), etc.</li>
<li>Chemical spend may include a variety of manufacturing processes that requires an extensive range of chemical product types and numerous Tier II suppliers. Manage Tier II suppliers, site processes and technical oversight.</li>
<li>Ensure all internal and client reporting (data and information management) are kept up to date and distributed within the agreed upon timeframe. Internal reports will utilize JDE, GSI, WERCS, etc.</li>
<li>Execute site level profit plan. Work with the management to ensure tier 2 conversion plans are achieved and manage all other operating costs to realize budget goals. Resolve P&amp;L and working capital issues.</li>
<li>Directly responsible for all EH&amp;S performance for all Quaker Houghton Fluidcare related operations. Ensures all QHFC operations and procedures are maintained and followed. Maintain an active awareness of hazard awareness and risk reduction. Housekeeping standards to be maintained at all times.</li>

Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering, science or equivalent.
Certifications
CMFS certification a plus.
Experience
A minimum of five years related experience with at least three years in manufacturing environment and/or three years of Chemical Management or other on-site service experience. Minimum of one year corporate customer relationship management experience, budgeting and P&amp;L responsibility.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
