<div>Position Overview
The HR Generalist serves as a strategic partner to leadership and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. This role is responsible for supporting a positive, inclusive workplace culture and delivering a broad range of HR services, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and continuous improvement. The HR Generalist ensures operational excellence and compliance while fostering engagement and supporting organizational goals.
Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>
Support production recruitment needs by facilitating the sourcing, scheduling, and coordinating interview process for identified positions</li><li>
Assist in employee onboarding, orientation, and training initiatives to drive team member engagement and reduce turnover
</li><li>Foster positive employee relations through consistent communication, counseling, and policy interpretation.</li><li>
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention</li><li>
Provide support to employees on various HR-related topics such as benefits, compensation, and policy administration</li><li>
Conduct investigations into workplace issues, including complaints of misconduct or violations of company policy</li><li>
Perform daily floor walks to build relationships with manufacturing team members</li><li>
Conduct exit interviews to ensure team members exiting the company have the appropriate information relative to their separation and collect feedback regarding their time with the Company</li><li>
Perform clerical duties associated with various HRIS programs and other administrative activities
</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; consult with Quaker General Counsel as needed</li><li>
Gather and provide separation information in response to unemployment claims and serve as company representative in hearings</li><li>
Support continuous improvement efforts within the HR department by driving process improvements and improving efficiency</li><li>
Plan and assist with employee recognition events and activities</li><li>
Other duties as assigned</li></ul>
Personal Attributes and Experience
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required</li><li>
Minimum 2 years' experience in Human Resources preferred</li><li>
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>
Excellent time management, documentation, and organizational skills with willingness to adapt to changing priorities and multitask</li><li>
Self-motivation and ability to work as a team in a collaborative environment as well as individually</li><li>
Software proficiency to include Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR Information Systems</li><li>
Bilingual in Spanish preferred</li></ul>
