The Dispatcher will oversee a fleet of truck drivers, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and federal regulations. This role demands excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Assign and schedule drivers to routes based on delivery requirements and driver availability.</li><li>
Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and updates throughout the day.</li><li>
Monitor and track the progress of deliveries, addressing any issues or delays.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of driver logs, delivery times, and route details.</li><li>
Collaborate with customer service to address and resolve delivery-related inquiries.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all safety and DOT regulations.</li><li>
Analyze and optimize route efficiency to reduce costs and improve service levels.</li><li>
Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.</li><li>
Analyze and improve fleet performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency.</li><li>
Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings and training.</li><li>
Address and resolve HOS or safety-related issues promptly.</li><li>
Provide support in case of emergencies or unforeseen situations.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualifications<ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree in Logistics or a related field preferred.</li><li>
Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching or a related field.</li><li>
Strong communication and multitasking skills.</li><li>
Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.</li><li>
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.</li><li>
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li></ul>
