<div>R.W. Mercer Electrical Contracting is looking for experienced and trained Journeyman Electricians that can work on their own under the general guidance of a Master Electrician. They are responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial electrical systems.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Knowledge of local electrical codes</li>
<li>Knowledge of electrical circuits</li>
<li>Ability to read and understand prints, schematics, and written reference material</li>
<li>Ability to focus on a job and complete the same in a timely manner</li>
<li>Ability to diagnose and resolve problems</li>
<li>Ability to guide and train Apprentice Electricians</li>
<li>Self-motivation</li>
<li>Takes control and oversees projects</li>
<li>Review projects with sales team/project managers</li>
<li>Ability to have flexible working hours</li>
<li>Respond to emergency calls as needed</li>
<li>Acquire proper materials to complete project</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, well-serviced and well-stocked vehicle</li>
<li>Attend a code review class every 3 years</li>
<li>Fill out work orders with time and material rates for billing purposes</li>
<li>Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, safety coordinator, or Human Resources.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints</li>
<li>Experience with petroleum fueling systems a plus</li>
</ul>
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency</li>
<li>4-year apprentice training</li>
<li>State of Michigan Journeyman License</li>
<li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License</li>
</ul>

Digging and working in trenches. Working in confined spaces, from heights, and hot/cold weather conditions.
