Introduction</b></div><div></div><div><br>
The Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting the technologist in the patient/scanning process. This position requires detailed knowledge of all aspects of patient services, including patient appointments, registration protocols, billing practices, telephone practices, scheduling guidelines and back-up to the front desk when needed. The position requires the ability to plan, schedule, organize and respond appropriately to a wide variety of subjects and situations.</div><p></p><div><b><br>
Job Objectives:</b></div><div></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Greet and check-in patients upon arrival in a courteous and professional manner</li><li>
Properly input all required patient information into the system including patient history in complete sentences, performing providers, and any additional information to the radiology technologist</li><li>
Directs patient regarding changing protocols</li><li>
Prepare procedure rooms and assist in procedures as needed in compliance with RIS safety protocols</li><li>
Properly identifies patients and demonstrates compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality, explain exam to patients to ensure patient safety and cooperation</li><li>
Assists the technologist with patient position as appropriate</li><li>
Comforts patients; anticipating patient needs, anxieties and questions</li><li>
Stock exam rooms with necessary supplies, maintain equipment and reports any equipment malfunction to the supervisor or appropriate service provider</li><li>
Check schedules on a daily basis</li></ul></div><div></div><div><b><br>
Education and Experience:</b></div><div></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
High school graduate or equivalent required, college degree preferred</li><li>
Medical Assistant certification required</li><li>
Customer Service Experience Preferred</li></ul></div><div><br>

Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required</li><li>
High levels of compassion, intelligence, and cultural sensitivity are required</li><li>
Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and patients and the ability to work independently</li><li>
