<div>Overview:
<p>
The Welder/ Fabricator is responsible for the welding and fabrication involved with the manufacture of custom engineered metal products. Is experienced with welding with skills in plasma cutting, MIG, TIG and pipe fitting. Is able to do much of the welding required. Interprets blueprints, fabricates and recommends process improvements in the manufacturing process. Works on multiple orders simultaneously. The Welder/Fabricator is also an integral part of the inspection process, ensuring dimensional tolerances, as well as weld quality. The Welder/Fabricator takes direction from the Production Supervisor, as well as the Lead or Senior Welder, and provides input on process, tooling, and equipment improvements.
</p>Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities may include:</div><ul><li>
Read engineering blueprints, and take/read measurements to determine layout of pipes and devise welding plans</li><li>
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements</li><li>
Assemble and install a variety of metal pipes and pipe fittings for both carbon steel and stainless projects</li><li>
Secure pipes to structures with clamps, brackets and hangers using hand tools</li><li>
Apply knowledge of metallurgy and geometry to determine required equipment, tools and welding methods</li><li>
Clean, prepare and install pipes with various fittings and weld joints according to standardized protocols</li><li>
Thread pipes using threading machines and assemble and install a variety of metal pipes and fittings using the threading method</li><li>
Set up components for welding according to specifications
</li><li>Actively participating within a team of manufacturing personnel, contributing to the goal of meeting sub-assembly component, &amp; production deadlines</li><li>
Manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously and in a timely manner</li><li>
Assist in developing manufacturing procedures and productivity reports as defined by the Production Supervisor and Production Manager.</li><li>
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded</li><li>
Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces</li><li>
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)</li><li>
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws</li><li>
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>1-5+ years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience</li><li>
1+ year of plasma cutting experience</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints</li><li>
Proficiency in the use of hand tools and measurement equipment, including calipers, tape measures, and compound squares</li><li>
Proficiency in the use of power &amp; pneumatic tools associated with the welding - jig saw, horizontal band saw, belt sander<b>, </b>drill, chop saw, grinder, drill press, angle grinder</li><li>
Must have good manual dexterity, sheet metal working skills are a bonus.
</li><li>Basic understanding of mechanical engineering concepts
</li><li>Computer literacy with functional knowledge of Windows, along with Microsoft Excel and Word
</li><li>Ability to multi-task and think &quot;Outside The Box&quot;</li><li>
Detail oriented</li><li>
High School diploma or equivalent (GED)</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b></div><ul><li>
Professional Certification (AWS welding certificate will be a plus)</li><li>
Certificate from an accredited technical institution</li><li>
Pipe welding and/or pipe fitting experience</li><li>
Applied knowledge of industry safety practices and OSHA standards</li><li>
Familiarity with 5S Principles and a Safety Program background</li></ul><div>

Welder/Fabricator II

<div>Overview:
<div>
This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to the U.S. National and International Rain Bird Distributor and Retailer base. This role also involves support to sales and marketing groups, high level ERP sales systems administration, international traffic management, and data mining/refinement/presentation.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Coordinates International shipping requirements with distribution centers - coordinates and applies all appropriate country specific international shipping documentation such as commercial invoices, shippers&rsquo; letter of instruction, country of origin, export controls, licenses, and trade certificates such as NAFTA</li><li>
Reviews letters of credit for international customers for viability, appropriateness, and risk reduction</li><li>
Assists in export traffic management functions including routing pickup and delivery of freight for air and ocean cargo; freight consolidation; freight quotations; selection of consolidators, brokers, and freight forwarders</li><li>
Coordinates shipping and scheduling requirements with various Rain Bird Distribution locations, freight carriers, freight consolidators, and freight forwarders</li><li>
Administer all parts of the systems set up for the order to payment portions of ERP</li><li>
Use expert level skills in Microsoft Excel to refine data presentations and support business direction or action</li><li>
Work with other departments on behalf of customer service such as Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, etc.</li><li>
Contribute to and lead special projects, such as system improvements, high end complex ordering/billing processes, various reports, data mining, queries for pricing, business intelligence reporting, or similar
</li><li>Cross train with and potentially back-up any of several other customer support areas as needed to provide depth of operations within the functions</li><li>
Provide excellent judgment in ambiguous situations, use creative problem solving, and take action when needed</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>2 - 3 years&rsquo; experience in some of the following areas: management information systems, customer service, order processing, field or internal sales, supply chain management, bookkeeping/accounting, experience with ERP&rsquo;s, or marketing experience such as entry level product management
</li><li>BS or BA degree in Marketing, Business, or Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered.</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communications skills</li><li>
Self-starter with good organizational skills and able to handle multiple tasks</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b></div><ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree in Marketing, Business, or Management Information Systems and/or related field</li><li>
3 - 5 years international logistics experience
</li><li>Possess working knowledge of irrigation products, systems, and customers</li><li>
Demonstrated success working in a team environment and leadership skills</li><li>
Bookkeeping experience is highly valued</li></ul><div>
