We are looking for a Senior Frontend/Full Stack Engineer to join our startup that has the #1 app in one of the largest industries in the world.
Well qualified applicants should be able to demonstrate working knowledge of single-page applications, RESTful APIs, React JS / Javascript, HTML5 and CSS3, along with the latest libraries and associated programming techniques.
Seeking candidates near San Diego, CA for a hybrid role, or individuals located outside of California for a fully remote position.

Role Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Work as a member of an Agile/SCRUM delivery team, handling frontend development of roadmap features, enhancements and defects, using our frontend frameworks &amp; tech stack (MobX, React JS, HTML5, CSS3, etc)</li><li>
Play a key role in design, implementation and delivery of roadmap initiatives</li><li>
Communicate estimates, risks, and dependencies to technical leads and product owners</li><li>
Create required documentation including high-level design documents</li><li>
Participate in all standard Agile ceremonies to continuously improve the software development lifecycle, and overall quality of the engineering department</li><li>
Mentor other developers with thoughtful code reviews and constructive feedback</li></ul>
Requirements:

Skills, Qualifications and Attributes:<ul><li>
BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree, or 8+ years equivalent experience</li><li>
Experience developing and delivering consumer-facing solutions</li><li>
5+ years developing Single Page Applications using React</li><li>
5+ years experience in web markup with working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3</li><li>
5+ years experience working with RESTful APIs</li><li>
Passionate about writing high quality and well-architected code</li><li>
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members</li><li>
Positive attitude with a constructive approach to challenges and respect for colleagues</li></ul>
Strong understanding of:<ul><li>
React JS best practices and conventions</li><li>
Single Page Application architecture and best practices</li><li>
External State Management Libraries such as Mobx or Redux</li><li>
Browser rendering behaviour and performance</li><li>
Object-oriented design patterns and best practices</li><li>
JSON and related libraries and technologies</li><li>
Source control systems &amp; repositories such as Git, Bitbucket</li></ul>
Preferred Experience:<ul><li>
Familiarity with front-end tools for building &amp; documenting components (e.g Storybook)</li><li>
Experience with automated testing tools like Cypress</li><li>
Experience with unit testing principles and tools like Jest and Enzyme</li><li>
Experience working with component libraries such as Material UI</li><li>
Working knowledge of full-stack Java web applications (Spring, Hibernate, JPA, etc)</li><li>
Working knowledge of RDBMS and SQL queries</li><li>
Experience utilizing JUnit and other testing frameworks</li><li>
Experience with AWS technologies, including Serverless, S3, CloudFormation, CloudFront, et al.</li></ul>
