Job Summary Ralston Valley Canine is a quality-focused and trusted boarding, training, and grooming facility. We&rsquo;re looking for a Canine Care &amp; Dog Walker to join our kennel team; someone who loves dogs and wants to help our busy kennel staff by assisting them with dog care, play times, and leashed walks. Responsibilities include,<ul><li>Feeding dogs according to instructions and schedules</li><li>Taking dogs outside for supervised, individual playtime</li><li>Cleaning and maintaining kennels, suites, and common areas</li><li>Scooping yards and helping keep outdoor spaces clean and safe</li><li>Monitoring dogs for comfort, safety, and general well-being</li><li>Cooperating with the kennel team and management to ensure a calm, clean, and positive environment for dogs and clients</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking for:<ul><li>A genuine love for dogs and comfort handling dogs of various sizes and energy levels</li><li>Friendly, professional customer service skills</li><li>Reliability; showing up on time and doing the job well matters here</li><li>Ability to stay on your feet and perform physical tasks (walking, cleaning, lifting within reason)</li><li>Attention to detail and willingness to follow care instructions; safety is a priority!</li><li>Team-oriented attitude and a positive, respectful work style</li><li>Gingr software experience? That's a plus; but not required</li></ul>Experience in dog care, dog-sitting, veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, or customer service is preferred, but not required. We&rsquo;re happy to train the right person.Schedule &amp; Work Environment:<ul><li>Part-time, 15 to 25 hrs per week; flexible schedule</li><li>Ability to safely handle dogs ranging from 10&ndash;150 lbs on leash</li><li>Physically active role: standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working indoors and outdoors</li><li>You may get a little wet during kennel cleanings (we&rsquo;ll show you the right gear to wear). If scooping poop and cleaning up urine makes you uncomfortable, animal care is probably not the right fit... If barking dogs or paw-prints on your pants makes you stressed, dog care is not the right fit!</li><li>Weekend and holiday availability may be requested (animals don&rsquo;t take days off...)</li><li>Fast-paced at times, especially during busy boarding periods</li></ul>Your role here truly matters to us, and to the dogs and their owners.
