Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization&rsquo;s financial health. Your expertise will help us streamline our bookkeeping processes, prepare essential financial reports, and uphold the integrity of our financial data. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving organization committed to excellence and transparency.Duties<ul><li>Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Google Sheets, and Cro Software to ensure precise record-keeping.</li><li>Handle all invoicing for the company.</li><li>Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations regularly to verify accuracy of financial data.</li><li>Record journal entries, including debits &amp; credits, and maintain detailed transaction records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).</li><li>Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.</li><li>Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.</li><li>Prepare financial reports, including profit &amp; loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for internal review and external reporting.</li><li>Support payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with governmental accounting standards when necessary.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.</li><li>Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and financial concepts.</li><li>Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and tax experience is desirable.</li><li>Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting efficiently.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; proficiency in 10 key typing is preferred.</li><li>Effective communication skills for financial report writing and collaboration with team members.</li><li>Prior experience in public accounting or technical accounting roles is advantageous.
