Senior Software support Engineer shall be responsible for the Level2 and Level3 support activities. He/She should be able work in shifts to align with customer sites operating time zones. He/She should work with global customer support teams to analyze an issues reported from the customer sites. He/She should have effective communication skills to debrief the issue to development/senior management teams and document the same. He/She should be able to effectively work within a team of technically strong engineers. He/She should be able to guide the juniors in the support teams. He/She should have knowledge of application deployment technologies. He/She should be able to fix software bugs, testing and maintaining the software is an important task for a Senior Software Support Engineer.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Must have a strong understanding of customer con-ops and be capable of comprehending issues reported by customers.</li><li>
Should be able to offer a workaround for immediate resolution.</li><li>
Must be able to analyze the complex issues reported by customers and able to identify the root cause without help from leads.</li><li>
Analyze the logs and necessary data from the customer environment to understand the scenario(s) that caused the issue.</li><li>
Must have strong debugging skills to identify the root cause of the issues.</li><li>
Provide the fixes to the software issues in collaboration with the development team.</li><li>
Provide timely updates through established communication channels.</li><li>
Update the service management portal with the latest updates for the customer reported issues.</li><li>
Update product knowledge base with newly reported issues from the sites.</li><li>
Raise the tickets in the Jira portal and track them to closure.</li><li>
Continually updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications</li><li>
Complete assigned tasks on time and in accordance with the appropriate process.</li><li>
Should be able to contribute to critical/high severity bug fixes and feature development tasks.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>B.E/B.Tech (M.E/M.Tech preferred) in the disciplines of EEE/ECE/CSE or MCA degree or equivalent experience.</li><li>

Senior Software Support Engineer

Role Overview</b></div><p>
Primary function is to deliver technical operator and service training to customers, distributors and company service personnel. The position will encompass training on a wide variety of Rapiscan products and technology and will consist of both formal classroom and hands-on training. This position will be based in Cairo Egypt or Saudi with a focus of training to be conducted in Saudi and other multiple locations in the UAE and EMEA. Will also be required to assist with additional training assignments globally. Must be able to speak English and Arabic, other languages are a plus.
</p>Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Obtain and maintain the appropriate knowledge of the various Rapiscan products and technology to ensure high quality knowledge transfer to students.

We are seeking skilled and motivated Field Service Technicians (FST) to join our team in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical field support for advanced cargo scanning systems. You will play a key role in delivering high-visibility customer service by diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex Cargo X-Ray equipment, while also supporting the daily operational tasks of the L3 Field Service Engineers (FSE).</div><div></div><div><br>
This dynamic and fast-paced position offers a variety of challenges, with no two days alike. It requires a confident communicator who can build strong relationships with end users and effectively train them on system operation and maintenance. Responsibilities span across all aspects of field support, including hardware, software, PCs, and both wired and wireless networking.</div>
Responsibilities:

Perform Level 1 and Level 2 maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Cargo Vehicle Inspection (CVI) systems and subsystems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components, as directed by the Field Service Engineer (FSE).</li><li><b>
Technical Diagnostics &amp; Fault Resolution</b><br>
Identify, isolate, and resolve technical issues across CVI systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance. This includes both proactive and reactive maintenance tasks.</li><li><b>
Technical Communication &amp; Escalation</b><br>
Provide clear and concise oral and written reports to escalate complex technical issues (Level 3) to engineering teams or site engineers, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.</li><li><b>

Assist installation teams during system deployment phases, including setup, configuration, and initial testing of CVI systems.</li><li><b>
Documentation &amp; Reporting</b><br>
Complete all required technical documentation, including service daily and weekly reports, system logs. Accurately input service data into internal databases and reporting tools.</li><li><b>
Compliance &amp; Safety</b><br>
Adhere to all company, customer, and regulatory safety standards and protocols while working on-site.</li></ul>

 The purpose of this position is to provide for the repair, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of electronic equipment used for security screening and cargo detection at various locations throughout the ports of Oman. The Field Service Engineer will use independent judgement and discretion to ensure all facets of safety protocols are followed and that screening and detection equipment is operated and maintained at the highest level of efficiency and reliability. The employee is expected to relocate to/between various operational sites in Oman as required by the needs of S2 Muscat.

   Understand usage of the Digital Multimeter and AC (Alternative current) and DC (Direct current) and see how these operate.

   Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems and subsystems to include x-ray imaging systems, power supplies, computers, computer peripherals, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems using technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints and service documentation.

   Perform moderately complex electronic technical functions related to testing, modification, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical components and systems

   Will work from documentation such as schematics, diagrams, notes, production, prints and layouts.

   Able to troubleshoot computer hardware problems, update software configurations from written instructions or with guidance from support personnel.

   Utilizes normal and specialized electronic and mechanical test equipment including oscilloscopes, VOM, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus.

   Handle on-call requests for the repair of equipment due to malfunction or failure. Determine when repairs require more expert capability and determine when assigned equipment is unserviceable.

   Serve as the subject matter expert in the operation, capabilities and support of assigned electronic equipment and provide product and operation training to supervisors and operators.
  </li>
  <li>
   Follows prescribed maintenance procedures and ensure that parts and tools needed to support and facilitate repairs are readily available. Advise superiors on the appropriate storage of parts and tools and ensures that all parts and tools are tracked and appropriately inventoried.

   Completes paperwork and documentation such as service reports, radiation surveys, parts requisitions, etc., on-time and error free.
