This role is perfect for individuals with drafting experience who are eager to grow into a design career. You&rsquo;ll work alongside experienced engineers and designers, learning industry best practices while contributing to real-world projects.If you enjoy problem-solving, precision, and bringing ideas to life, this is an excellent opportunity to start your engineering career in the mining industry.Key Responsibilities&middot; Create and update 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).&middot; Assist in preparing detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation.&middot; Support senior engineers by translating concepts and sketches into accurate technical drawings.&middot; Help maintain drawing standards, revisions, and file organization.&middot; Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are clear and practical.&middot; Learn and grow through hands-on projects, mentorship, and training opportunities.Qualifications &amp; Requirements&middot; Diploma, associate degree, or coursework in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, CAD Design, or related field.&middot; Up to 2 years of drafting/design experience (internships, co-op placements, or entry-level work welcome).&middot; Basic proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoDesk Inventor, or similar).&middot; Understanding of technical drawings, dimensioning, and drafting standards.&middot; Detail-oriented with good organizational and communication skills.&middot; Eagerness to learn new tools, processes, and industry standards.Nice-to-Have (Not Required)&middot; Exposure to industrial or heavy equipment design.&middot; Familiarity with manufacturing processes (welding, machining, fabrication).&middot; Knowledge of GD&amp;T (Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing).&middot; Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.What We Offer&middot; Competitive entry-level salary and benefits.&middot; Mentorship from experienced engineers and designers.&middot; On-the-job training with opportunities to expand your skills.&middot; Career growth pathways within engineering and product development.&middot; A collaborative and supportive team environment.&middot; The chance to work on meaningful projects that support the mining industryJob Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
