Our team is seeking a dependable and organized Bookkeeper &amp; HR Administrative Assistant to oversee day-to-day financial operations while also handling basic human resources functions. This dual role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance numbers with people-focused tasks.ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping<ul><li>Record daily financial transactions and reconcile accounts</li><li>Manage accounts payable and receivable</li><li>Process payroll and maintain payroll records</li><li>Prepare regular financial reports and assist with month/year-end closing</li><li>Support tax preparation and compliance with applicable regulations</li></ul>Human Resources Administration<ul><li>Administer employee benefits, including health insurance enrollment and management</li><li>Manage workers&rsquo; comp and other insurance claims</li><li>Maintain accurate employee files and HR documentation</li><li>Assist with job postings, onboarding, and offboarding processes</li><li>Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance with employment policies and labor laws</li><li>Act as first point of contact for staff regarding HR-related questions</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Office Manager, or similar role</li><li>Familiarity with QuickBooks (or other accounting software)</li><li>Solid understanding of accounting principles and payroll processing</li><li>Experience with HR administration and employee benefits management</li><li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Prior experience in retail, wholesale, or small business environments</li><li>Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices</li><li>Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive pay based on experience</li><li>Health benefits, PTO, employee discounts]</li><li>A stable and collaborative work environment</li><li>Opportunity to take ownership of both finance and HR functions</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
