JOB DUTIES:</b></p><ul><li>
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and history.</li><li>
Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.</li><li>
Administer respiratory therapies, including aerosol medications, mechanical ventilation, and oxygen therapy.</li><li>
Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to treatment, adjusting care as needed.</li><li>
Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.</li><li>
Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.</li><li>
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and improve outcomes.</li><li>
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and progress.</li></ul>
Requirements:<br>
<p></p><ul><li>
Must possess a valid respiratory therapist license in the State of Missouri.</li><li>
Must have an associate's degree or higher in respiratory therapy from an accredited program.</li><li>
Must possess certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT),</li><li>
Must have a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in critical care or acute care environments.</li><li>
Must have a strong understanding of respiratory care protocols, equipment, and therapies.</li><li>
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.</li><li>
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities efficiently.</li><li>
Must possess current BLS certification throughout employment.</li><li>
Must earn ACLS and PALS within six (6) months of hire.</li></ul></div>
