<div>Description:

 The Refrigeration Engineer will partner closely with new systems, compliance and service teams to design and deliver high caliber refrigeration solutions for all of KELVIN&rsquo;s customers. 
The Refrigeration Engineer will develop detailed design drawings, models and related specifications of mechanical equipment and designs, according to engineering sketches and design proposal specifications, including refrigeration, HVAC, piping, and controls systems.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Play a key role in proposal, bid development, design and installation for industrial ammonia/central refrigeration, commercial split systems, and HVAC processes for industrial or commercial applications</li><li>
Assist in the coordination and management of tasks for active projects</li><li>
Responsible for initial project coordination and handoff to project management</li><li>
Review submittal drawings and data for compliance with design intent and/or contract documents</li><li>
Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications, scope of work and standards specified by each project/client</li><li>
Field measure existing facilities, as needed, and develop drawings for system installations</li><li>
Create sketches and related design documents to complete the required refrigeration system and accommodate customer expectations</li><li>
Assist/direct CAD Coordinator in producing 2D and 3D CAD/BIM drawings and document sets from sketches, existing drawings, equipment shop drawings and standard details for refrigeration, HVAC, piping and controls systems to be estimated, installed and/or fabricated</li><li>
Layout and dimensioning of equipment locations, pipe and ductwork routing, and support systems to eliminate interferences with other components, existing systems, or other building elements, accommodate servicing requirement, and maximize system installation efficiency</li><li>
Assist/direct CAD Coordinator in producing accurate &ldquo;As-Built&rdquo; drawings from field mark-ups upon completion of a construction project</li><li>
Coordinate and consult with others on design, layout and/or detail components and systems to resolve design issues or installation constraints</li><li>
Perform load calculations to determine the refrigeration requirements of the facilities</li><li>
Perform heat transfer and thermodynamic analysis associated with sizing and selection of refrigeration equipment, piping, and control valves</li><li>
Ventilation systems design and sizing including fans, louvers, dampers, ductwork, etc.</li><li>
Relief Valve Calculations</li><li>
Develop P&amp;ID&rsquo;s, flow diagrams, plans and specifications for refrigeration systems</li><li>
Writing and continuous improvement of specifications and standards pertaining to refrigeration including piping, vessels, compressors, evaporators, condensers, valves, instrumentation, corrosion protection, and insulation</li><li>
Collaborate closely with company resources to ensure projects meet technical and quality requirements</li><li>
Stay abreast of codes and regulations as they apply to industrial and commercial refrigeration and HVAC</li></ul>
Requirements:

Individual is a team-oriented, customer-focused, and technically competent Engineer with a high sense of urgency. More specifically the Refrigeration Engineer will have a BS Degree in a mechanical discipline from an ABET accredited school. Ideally, the candidate will have a current PE certification with a minimum of 5 years&rsquo; engineering experience in industrial refrigeration systems. If not, the candidate will possess the ability, desire and drive to accomplish such.<ul><li>
Demonstrated technical understanding of refrigeration</li><li>
Proficiency in drafting/design programs, e.g., CAD and Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, etc.</li><li>
Basic to advanced knowledge of drafting programs</li><li>
Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction drawings and P&amp;ID&rsquo;s</li><li>
Skill in writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals</li><li>
Experience in all aspects of project requirements including mechanical, electrical, and structural, including application of current codes</li><li>
Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications</li><li>
Knowledge of building materials, engineering standards and codes</li><li>
Ability to work closely with others on a team as well as independently</li><li>
Physical ability to access job sites, including some climbing and crawling</li><li>
Capable of maintaining a high energy level to manage a dynamic, fast-paced workload</li><li>
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in evaluating situations</li><li>

Refrigeration Design Engineer

<div>Description:

The role of Project Manager requires a high-level Mechanical experience to provide in depth knowledge of project management and a proven track record of extraordinary passion for client satisfaction. This role must be attentive to details, be able to solve problems efficiently and timely, assess project risks and consistently deliver top end results. The Project Manager will be accountable for the financial management and the overall project deliverables/completion of multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Work with the Sales Team &amp; Engineering on Project Turnovers while reviewing job scope and costs for accuracy.</li><li>
Create initial Construction Budget for PM team review against Project Sales Estimate</li><li>
Collaborate with the Engineering Department for project buy out.</li><li>
Create and present a detailed job schedules while maintaining vital project milestones.</li><li>
Maintain a high level of communication for customer satisfaction</li><li>
Maintain a close relationship with Project Foreman to provide accurate cost to completes, 3-week look ahead and Pre/During Construction takeoffs.</li><li>
Lead Project Kickoff Meetings with project foreman and the project team.</li><li>
Direct and mentor your Assistant Project Manager on all project submittals and close out docs.</li><li>
Procurement of all equipment, materials and labor. Create and Maintain Procurement Purchasing Tracker (on each project) and Material Bid-Tabs for Requisition/Purchase Orders.</li><li>
Schedule and coordinate sub-contractors and vendors regarding critical path.</li><li>
Oversee the logistics of each project with key focuses on commitments and communication.</li><li>
Issue monthly job invoices based off payment terms or project status</li><li>
Complete Bi-Monthly Cost to Completes, giving an accurate financial forecast for each project.</li><li>
Work and lead your project team on all pre-construction, during, and post construction (submittals, RFI&rsquo;s, delivery reconciliation logs, Weld Logs, Daily Reports, Etc.)</li><li>
Strong multitasking abilities</li><li>
Attend weekly meetings as specified by the Customer or GC</li><li>
Identify and evaluate potential project risks and analyze redeeming solutions</li><li>
Monitor jobsite safety according to OSHA, IIAR, and PSM standards</li><li>
Review job costs and vendor invoices weekly and return to the Accounting Team to recognize revenue</li><li>
Attend weekly Projects meeting to discuss project status/labor needs (Update Agenda in ACC Build prior to each meeting)</li><li>
Track &amp; Document KPI to discuss at each week&rsquo;s Projects meeting</li><li>
Adhere to IIAR rules, regulations, and piping standards</li><li>
Key focus on turning new projects into yearly Preventive Maintenance Agreements</li><li>
Support and assist in developing PM standards, processes, and management practice.</li></ul>
Requirements: 
<ul><li>5+ years&rsquo; experience in Project Management</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred or 8+ years of Project Management experience</li><li>
Negotiations and contract management experience</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communications</li><li>
Working knowledge of managing subcontractors</li><li>
Demonstrated leadership skills</li><li>
Strong people skills and attentive to details</li><li>
Experience working in a high demand, fast paced industry</li><li>
Strong trade skills preferred</li><li>
High-level problem-solving abilities</li><li>
Ability to manage shifting priorities</li><li>
Ability to provide working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, ACC Build, and ERP Systems</li><li>
