The mechanic is a key member of the RDS Service team who enables the availability of our products to clients and maintains strong relationships. The mechanic brings reliable access to a wide variety of snacks, foods and beverages to our clients through new innovative machines and markets, helping to create exciting customer experiences. With RDS&rsquo; investment in state-of-the-art technology, including &ldquo;smart coolers&rdquo;, the mechanic will have the opportunity to expand their skills on the job.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail</li><li>Respond quickly to dispatch calls for machine and equipment repairs or needed maintenance.</li><li>Listen to and resolves service complaints; reports all client and/or customer complaints or equipment mechanical issues to immediate supervisor in a timely manner if not through dispatch</li><li>Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service; resolve service issues or complaints</li><li>Inspect machines and equipment to determine/locate causes of malfunctions, dismantle machines to gain access to problem areas (re-assembles upon completion of repair)</li><li>Inspect parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems; remove and replace worn or defective parts; repairs broken parts; realign and adjust components; test machine operation following repair to ensure it is in working order</li><li>Review inventory and requests parts to be ordered as necessary; ships and receives machines; maintains equipment inventory</li><li>Set up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for machine and equipment repair.</li><li>Maintain clean and safe work environment, perform job safely at client sites ensuring any dirt and debris is removed or discarded.</li><li>Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and other related equipment to help ensure safety. Inspect machines to ensure they are clean inside and out.</li><li>Assist in vending machine delivery as needed</li><li>Assist in delivery and Installation and set-up of new Micro Markets and state of the art &quot;Smart Coolers&quot; at strategic client locations</li><li>Participate/assist in strategic RDS projects that the service department must complete to support business objectives (e.g., pricing updates, Planogram changes, special vending product promotions)</li><li>Prior to beginning each day&rsquo;s route, ensure that truck is properly loaded with all parts required to properly service all scheduled machines, including coins for change, as necessary.</li><li>Provide client and customer satisfaction in all aspects of job performance.</li><li>Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and other related equipment to help ensure safety.</li><li>Keep company vehicle clean and always organized; perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
