Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Ophthalmic Scribe to join our growing team. You'll play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency of physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time.
Your Impact:<ul><li>
Real-Time Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits as they occur, directly into the EMR system.</li><li>
Physician Collaboration: Work closely with physicians to complete and submit accurate medical records.</li><li>
Patient Interaction &amp; Screening: Perform basic ocular screenings and gather patient history.</li><li>
Efficient Patient Flow: Assist in maintaining a smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.</li><li>
Patient Education: Review and explain physician instructions with patients.</li><li>
Clinical &amp; Administrative Support: Perform clinical and administrative tasks as directed.</li></ul>
Schedule:<ul><li>
Up to 40 hours per week</li></ul>
What You'll Bring/Requirements:<ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Experience in a medical setting, preferably ophthalmology.</li><li>
Excellent data entry and typing skills.</li><li>
Proficiency with EMR systems.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>
Reliability and a strong work ethic.</li></ul>
Bonus Points:<ul><li>
Previous experience as a Medical Scribe.</li><li>
Knowledge of ophthalmic medical terminology, anatomy, and pathologies.</li><li>
Familiarity with common ophthalmic medications and equipment.</li><li>
Experience with visual acuity measurement and applanation tonometry.</li><li>
Knowledge of medical office procedures.</li></ul>
