Role PurposeThe Quantity Surveyor (QS) will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control for interior fit-out projects, with particular focus on MEP, HVAC, and Joinery/Wooden works. The QS ensures that all projects are delivered within approved budgets, with accurate forecasting, and in line with contractual and company standards.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Cost Estimation &amp; BOQ Preparation</li><li>Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) covering civil, interior, MEP, HVAC, and joinery/wooden works.</li><li>Provide accurate cost estimation for materials, labor, subcontractors, and suppliers.</li><li>Continuously update cost plans during all project phases.</li><li>Joinery &amp; Wooden Works Pricing</li><li>Evaluate and price custom joinery, carpentry, and bespoke furniture items.</li><li>Coordinate with joinery subcontractors and furniture suppliers.</li><li>Ensure cost efficiency and compliance with design intent.</li><li>Tendering &amp; Procurement Support</li><li>Prepare tender documents and evaluate subcontractor quotations.</li><li>Assist procurement in negotiations and price comparisons.</li><li>Ensure subcontractor pricing aligns with project budgets and standards.</li><li>Contract Administration</li><li>Draft, review, and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.</li><li>Track variations, claims, and change orders.</li><li>Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.</li><li>Cost Control &amp; Reporting</li><li>Monitor project costs against approved budgets.</li><li>Prepare cost reports and forecasts for management.</li><li>Highlight risks, overruns, and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Project Coordination</li><li>Work closely with design, procurement, and project management teams.</li><li>Attend client and site meetings, providing cost and commercial input.</li><li>Support project managers in financial planning and decision-making.</li><li>Final Accounts</li><li>Prepare and submit final accounts upon project completion.</li><li>Ensure all variations and settlements are properly documented.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.</li><li>Minimum 5 years proven Gulf experience in Interior Fit-Out QS (mandatory).</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of MEP, HVAC, and joinery/wooden works pricing.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, or other estimation software.</li><li>Excellent analytical, negotiation, and numerical skills.</li><li>Strong communication and reporting abilities.</li><li>Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is an advantage.</li></ul>Personal Attributes<ul><li>Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>Commercially aware with focus on cost efficiency.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Strong team player with ability to collaborate across departments.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):<ul><li>What is your current notice period (in months)?</li><li>Do you have any previous experience in the fit-out field?</li></ul>
