<div>POSITION TITLE: SECURITY GUARD
LOCATION: GRAPEVINE, TX
SHIFT: 5:00AM - 2:00PM
HOURLY RATE: $17.50/HOUR
POSITION SUMMARY
Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking a driven dynamic Security Guard to join our team. This position provides protection and performs security services of routine difficulty in maintaining the safety, security of persons, property in assigned buildings and grounds for multiple Company facilities.
DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Security Guard will have content expertise in the following areas. They will be responsible for the following reporting and communication requirements as deemed appropriate by the company:<ul><li>
Documenting incidents and reviewing reports before submitting them to their reporting supervisor.</li><li>
Coordinate and conduct security-related training.</li><li>
Enforcing security, safety &amp; evacuation policies.</li><li>
Serve as liaison to other Company departments and outside agencies regarding security issues.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with Federal/State/Local agency security regulations and statutes.</li><li>
Coordinate emergency responses.</li><li>
Maintains lost and found.</li><li>
Explains security procedures and may instruct employees/contractors.</li><li>
Assists during safety drills; directs emergency evacuation until police/firemen arrive.</li><li>
Checks and maintains security equipment.</li><li>
Secures building area by locking and unlocking doors at scheduled times.</li><li>
Required to de-escalate incidents and physically escort individuals from the property.</li><li>
Maintains observation of areas following organized activities to keep records of any property damage.</li><li>
Respond accordingly to emergencies to protect persons and property by going to the appropriate location; assessing the situation; following prescribed instructions; applying basic knowledge of first aid, CPR, and other emergency procedures as appropriate; and requesting additional assistance when needed.</li><li>
Assist in building evacuations and searches to ensure occupants' safety by notifying them of the threatening situation(s), and providing instructions as directed.</li><li>
Monitors TV and audio surveillance to check the building safety, security, and control, and notifies designated staff of emergencies.</li><li>
Editing and labeling equipment per guidelines.</li><li>
Audits surveillance system ensuring it is working properly and notifies management of service requests when needed.</li><li>
Position daily surveillance in the parking lot to monitor traffic flow.</li><li>
Monitors access, alarms, and cameras at all locations.</li><li>
Work weekends, Holidays, nights, and extra hours when needed.</li><li>
Other Duties as assigned.</li></ul> 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:<ul><li>
Active - Texas level II Security License.</li><li>
Must be able to work any shift and any days.</li><li>
Availability to work weekends when needed.</li><li>
Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.</li><li>
Must pass criminal background and drug screen prior to hire.</li><li>
Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.</li><li>
Ability to effectively author reports stating complete facts.</li><li>
Ability to react promptly and drive in a variety of conditions, both emergency and non-emergency.</li><li>
Ability to solve varied and diverse problems that require deductive reasoning skills.</li><li>
Ability to see, hear, and remember facts, people, and circumstances.</li><li>
Ability to work independently with little supervision, self-motivated.</li><li>
Knowledge of administrative rules, regulations and procedures governing security for assigned buildings and grounds sufficient to follow, enforce and explain them.</li><li>
Knowledge of area(s) to which assigned, including office and facility locations, and where to seek assistance in emergency situations.</li><li>
Knowledge of proper safety precautions and first aid techniques sufficient to deal effectively with emergency situations.</li><li>
Ability to enforce regulations, reasonably but firmly.</li><li>
Ability to follow simple oral and written directions.</li><li>
Ability to prepare incident reports and maintain log records accurately and concisely.</li><li>
Ability to demonstrate mental alertness, exercise good judgment in implementing instructions, and be trustworthy.</li><li>
Ability to keep and maintain confidential information and data.</li></ul>
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a company office building.<ul><li>
Lifting requirements of up to 50 pounds occasionally may be required.</li><li>
Wrist and finger manipulation due to computer work, calculating, compiling, and filing.</li><li>
The equipment used may include but is not limited to a computer, calculator, telephone, copy and fax machines.</li><li>
Must be able to stand and sit for long hours.</li></ul>
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in a relevant field is a plus.</li><li>
Proven experience in private security, military, or police, with at least five years in a similar role.</li><li>
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License</li><li>
No Criminal History</li><li>
Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.</li><li>
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Excellent Verbal and written communication</li><li>
Problem-solving abilities.</li><li>
Ability to make decisions under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.</li><li>
Proficient in using security-related technology and systems.</li><li>
Training or certification in security management is preferred.</li></ul></div>
