Job SummaryWe're looking for someone with 7-15 years of experience as a Civil Engineering Technician with strong expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and engineering principles. The ideal candidate will provide technical support for civil engineering projects, including drafting designs and conducting field inspections. This position requires proficiency with engineering software applications and the ability to interpret technical specifications.Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide technical support to engineering team members, including assisting with design, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of engineering projects.</li><li>Conduct research and gather relevant data to support engineering analysis and decision-making.</li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of engineering processes, procedures, and standards.</li><li>Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify and resolve technical issues and challenges.</li><li>Perform complex calculations, measurements, and data analysis to support engineering evaluations and reports.</li><li>Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and presentations as required.</li><li>Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the engineering field.</li><li>Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineering technicians as needed.</li><li>Performs other related duties as required.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Associate degree in engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician in Subdivision and Land Development, preferably in a senior or lead role.</li><li>Valid driver's license and a clean driving record</li><li>Strong knowledge of engineering principles, concepts, and practices.</li><li>Proficiency in using engineering software, tools, and equipment.</li><li>Familiarity with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy of designs.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.</li><li>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>5+ years of engineering experience</li><li>5+ years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D</li><li>Associate Degree in Engineering or Related Field</li></ul>About UsWe are one of the Rio Grande Valley&rsquo;s well-respected and sought-after engineering, surveying, and consulting firms. Job SummaryThe designer will produce construction drawings and details for treatment plants, water distribution systems, and sewer collection systems. The designer will contribute to other related projects, and work side by side with civil engineers, surveyors, project managers, CADD designers, and project administrators.Responsibilities<ul><li>Produce civil/mechanical plans for water and wastewater facilities.</li><li>Prepare accurate construction plans and details with input from the Project Engineer and Project Manager.</li><li>Interpret sketches and markups provided by the Project Engineer and other team members.</li><li>Collaborate with the design engineer, project manager, and project administrators in the planning and production of a complete set of construction documents.</li><li>Utilize company CAD standards effectively in addition to updating templates and any other CADD processes for the team&rsquo;s needs.</li><li>Perform administrative and other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree in CAD or Design/Drafting Technology, preferred.</li><li>Must have at least 3-5 years of experience.</li><li>Experience in the preparation of construction plans for water and wastewater facilities, preferred.</li><li>Experience in civil and mechanical design preferred.</li><li>Valid driver's license and a clean driving record</li><li>Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Ability to work independently and within a team environment.</li><li>Must have a positive attitude, a high attention to detail, a desire to produce quality work, and a strong work ethic.</li><li>The ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment is required.</li><li>Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and handling frequent interruptions.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive employee information, requiring discretion and adherence to privacy protocols.</li><li>Comply with company policies and procedures.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>3-5 years of AutoCAD Civil3D Design</li><li>3+ years of experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D</li></ul>Nice to Have<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree in CAD or Design/Drafting Technology</li><li>Experience in the preparation of construction plans for water and wastewater facilities, preferred.</li><li>Electrical Design</li></ul>About UsWe are a professional firm specializing in engineering, surveying, and consulting services.
