We are assisting a leading international university in their search for an experienced Grants Administrator to join their Provost Office within their Finance department.</p>
<p>
Working in a friendly and professional team you will provide grant management support to Principal Investigators (PI) of the university research grants and to awarded sponsored and internal grants.</p>
<p>
The position is primarily responsible for project-level financial administration of research grants awarded from the Institute and other external funding agencies, ensuring expenditures of the grants are properly tracked, monitored and reported to PIs and leadership, liaising with the Sponsored Programs Administration at the university and providing the point of contact for PIs and research staff.</p>
<p>
The position will work closely with the research administration offices in both Abu Dhabi and overseas. The position will also assist with the development of policies and processes for supporting post-award grants administration.</p>
<p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Monitor project expenditures for all Institute and externally-sponsored projects.</li>
<li>Review projects&rsquo; monthly expenditures in comparison to budgets.</li>
<li>Develop methods for timely and accurate expenditure projections.</li>
<li>Provide monthly reports to project directors and senior management.</li>
<li>Assist in preparation of annual and final project financial reports.</li>
<li>Assist in developing annual and multi-year grant budgets for new projects.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Required Skills</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline</li>
<li>Continuing professional education/ certification in research administration</li>
<li>Minimum of three years of experience in project-level financial administration of sponsored grants</li>
<li>Experience in generating reports of portfolios of multiple grants for senior management</li>
<li>Experience with budget development</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience developing and monitoring large complex budgets.</li>
<li>Exceptional technical, accounting, and communication skills a must.</li>
<li>Full competence with Microsoft Excel.</li>
<li>Interpersonal skills with diverse populations at all levels in a professional manner</li>
<li>Ability to interpret government contract language, quickly learn and understand University policies and procedures, and disseminate information to faculty and staff regarding pre and post award management.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, under supervision, and as part of a team.</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively with other administrative offices of the university, in particular Finance, Budget and the Sponsored Programs offices.</li>
<li>Experience with US Federal funding agencies is strongly preferred.</li></ul></div></div>

Support the smooth execution of operations of hospitality and leisure assets; interface with Development Management on new hospitality and leisure projects/expansions.</p>
<p>
Periodic reporting of hospitality and leisure asset performance</p>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Responsibilities</b></h3>
<ul><li>Maintain a thorough understanding of all drivers and market trends affecting the hospitality and leisure sector</li>
<li>Receive constant updates from hospitality and leisure operators on asset performance and update Head of Hospitality and Leisure</li>
<li>Ongoing monitoring, review and pooling of all research documents and source data such as hospitality and leisure databases and reports, STAR information, historical financials, management accounts, forecast P&amp;L etc.</li>
<li>Creation of reports/presentations on outlooks and trends within the hospitality and leisure sector (UAE, GCC and globally if required)</li>
<li>Operational performance tracking and monitoring of KPIs (hotel costs and operations), including periodic reviews with all asset operators</li>
<li>Manage day-to-day relations with hospitality/leisure operators</li>
<li>Perform in-depth operational analysis (procurement, costs, operational management etc.) on existing portfolio and competitor peer set to assess ongoing asset performance</li>
<li>Review costs and recommend cost-cutting and procurement measures whilst maintaining product quality and customer service/experience</li>
<li>Develop and implement operational strategies to improve the value of the portfolio</li>
<li>Create/modify financial models and feasibility studies and undertake sensitivity analysis for asset acquisitions/disposals/renovations/expansions</li>
<li>Compile bespoke presentations on results of feasibility assessments</li>
<li>Undertake property reviews and due diligence</li>
<li>Completion of periodic review for each asset</li>
<li>Act as primary interface with Development Management and Construction/Design teams in renovation/expansion of existing assets and construction of new assets</li>
<li>Assure that capital projects are completed on time and on specification</li>
<li>Ensure project expansion/renovation/construction is on target</li>
<li>Update Head of Hospitality and Leisure on project development status</li>
<li>Ensuring that property requirements for ground lessors, third party lender requirements, local taxing and zoning authorities</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Education &amp; Experience</b></h3>
<ul><li>Bachelor degree in hospitality/property management, engineering, business or economics</li>
<li>Operational experience with minimum of 10 years&rsquo; experience in procurement, facilities management and/or estate management</li>
<li>Experience in vast array of hospitality/leisure properties: hotels, services apartments, theme/amusement parks etc.</li>
<li>Experience in PM and FM issues / problems and respective remedial actions</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Required Skills</b></h3>
<ul><li>Effective stakeholder relationship management; conflict resolution / managements skills</li>
<li>Track record of working with development/design teams on capital projects alongside excellent project management skills</li>
<li>Ability to train and mentor junior colleagues</li>
<li>Monitoring of hotel and F&amp;B operations</li>
<li>Ability to understand financial statements (P&amp;L, Balance Sheet, CF) relating to Hospitality and Leisure operations</li>
<li>Experience with assessing, analyzing and presenting new investment ideas/concepts -Exposure to initial set up of a hotel or F&amp;B outlet would be a plus</li>
<li>Strong excel and PowerPoint skills, in order to be able to create financial models and compile intelligence reports</li>
