A Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that a company follows all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; DUTIES:

Monitoring and Auditing<ul><li>

Perform internal audits or inspections to detect violations or gaps.</li></ul>
Investigation and Reporting<ul><li>
Investigate compliance issues or reported misconduct.</li><li>

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in internal control, auditing, risk management, or related roles.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of fund accounting, financial services industry and compliance functions.</li><li>
Ability to build and develop working knowledge of applicable Tribal compliance industry regulations.</li><li>
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to independently and effectively manage time and prioritize work to meet multiple tight deadlines while paying strong attention to detail.</li><li>
Ability to collaborate, communicate, and guide across different levels of various organizations.</li><li>
Ability to maintain productive working relationships with all tribal businesses and programs.</li><li>

Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including global, federal, and local compliance requirements. Proactively identify compliance risks and gaps, and develop action plans to mitigate risks. Oversee the company&rsquo;s response to regulatory changes, ensuring timely and effective implementation of new compliance requirements. Assess potential impact of new regulations and recommend necessary adjustments to business practices.</li><li>
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and controls across the organization. Ensure that compliance training programs are delivered to employees at all levels to maintain awareness and understanding of compliance requirements. Develop, implement, and manage a risk-based monitoring and auditing framework to ensure the effectiveness of compliance programs.</li><li>
Supervise regular internal audits to assess compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and business practices. Provide timely and accurate reports to the Tribal Treasurer regarding the company&rsquo;s compliance status and any significant issues. Investigate non-compliance issues or complaints, and take corrective actions when necessary.</li><li>
Promote and uphold the company&rsquo;s ethical culture, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.</li><li>
Ensure that third-party vendors, contractors, and business partners adhere to applicable compliance standards and regulations. Oversee the due diligence process for assessing third-party risks related to compliance and legal matters.</li><li>
Manage and oversee regulatory investigations, examinations, and audits. Liaise with regulatory bodies and authorities, and coordinate responses to compliance inquiries and enforcement actions.</li><li>
Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the compliance program and internal controls.
</li></ul>EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Juris Doctor (JD) or Master&rsquo;s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. Certifications such as Certified Compliance &amp; Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Risk Professional (CRP), or similar are a plus.</li><li>
Minimum 10 years of experience in compliance, legal, regulatory, or risk management roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity. Experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare, technology) preferred.</li><li>
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and industry best practices. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex compliance issues in a clear and actionable manner. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.</li><li>
