The targeted hiring range for this full-time position is $126,000 - $170,000 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Job Description 
The Regional Retail Director leads the development and management of Retail teams and initiatives, driving alignment with corporate strategies and the company&rsquo;s long-term vision. This role ensures that stores consistently meet or exceed sales and revenue targets while delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role partners cross-functionally with Industrial and Wholesale leadership and teams to execute the overarching North American Wholesale (NAW) business strategy. Additionally, the director collaborates with corporate partners to maintain operational excellence, identify growth opportunities, and cultivate strong dealer relationships.
Essential duties include:<ul><li>
Own the region revenue growth goals by achieving front door retail and back door wholesale sales targets.</li><li>
Defines strategic objectives for assigned territory (east, west, central) in collaboration with cross-functional partners and leadership.</li><li>
Partners with Revenue Operations, Retail Creation, and Legal to develop white space, onboard new dealers and strengthen long term dealer and investor relationships</li><li>
Owns deployment and implementation of defined in-store experiences, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and local retail regulations.</li><li>
Coordinate with Industrial Leadership to support the delivery of Industrial programs across the region.</li><li>
Work collaboratively with Revenue Operations, Marketing, and Product Creation to ensure the right product assortment is in the right stores to fulfill both walk-in and industrial consumer command.</li><li>
Partners with Revenue Operations to ensure the required direct-to-consumer programs, products, tools, and systems are deployed effectively to drive appropriate impact, and drive the implementation of these products and tools.</li><li>
Provide leadership and guidance to all Region Managers following prescribed sales development and operating policies/procedures to achieve sales, profit and market share goals.</li><li>
Ensure stores contribute to the acquisition, satisfaction and retention of customers that result in customer and revenue growth by transformation of culture from customer service to sales</li><li>
Work collaboratively with Revenue Operations to identify retail products, tools and systems needed to effectively run the business</li><li>
Manage assigned staff: provide clear goals and expectations; ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities; coach; manage performance; develop; salary administration; enforce systems, policies and procedures; recruit, select and onboard new employees.</li><li>
Achieve financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.</li><li>
Serve as the trusted advisor to dealer partners. Consulting on full-business operations, financial health, investments, and long-term growth strategy.</li><li>
Strengthening alignment between dealer partners and corporate priorities, ensuring strategies are mutually beneficial and future focused.</li><li>
Conduct annual and ongoing business reviews to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and influence dealer adoption of corporate initiatives.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with dealer agreements, brand standards, and business expectations while maintaining strong, trust-based relationships.</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
Education and Experience:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university, plus a minimum of ten years of leadership experience in sales or retail operations&mdash;or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>
Proven track record of leading retail operations teams, fostering employee growth, and driving performance excellence through Talent Management programs and initiatives.</li><li>
Extensive experience in specialty retail and/or dealership/franchise environments, with responsibility for merchandising, inventory management, store operations, performance metrics, and overall profitability.</li><li>
Direct experience in a retail footwear environment is highly desirable.</li></ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
<ul><li>Demonstrated success in building strong partnerships across a networked organization, driving results through influence, collaboration, and alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.</li><li>
Proven ability to lead and execute operational strategies that enhance retail productivity, optimize store performance, and deliver consistent business results across multiple locations.</li><li>
Skilled in monitoring and analyzing store performance metrics, providing actionable insights, coaching, and guidance to ensure operational excellence and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).</li><li>
Exceptional communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex business data, articulate challenges, and deliver compelling presentations to leadership, stakeholders, and regional teams.</li><li>
Adept at leading teams in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency and reporting.</li></ul>
Work Environment:
<ul><li>This role is responsible for supporting the East Region (Regional teams).</li><li>
Position is flexible with respect to location within the region; candidates may be based in either the East or Central regions to best support the eastern-time zone. Candidate should be located near a major hub for ease of travel.</li><li>
Travel within the East Region may be required to support field operations and initiatives, including Business travel for Sales Meetings and to our headquarters in Red Wing, MN. 40% expected travel.</li></ul>
