 About the Role
 
 
 
 
 
 
 As a Sales Engineer in Paints and Coatings based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer accounts, and providing technical support across Saudi Arabia within the specialty chemicals and raw material distribution sector. This role requires both commercial acumen and technical expertise, as you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage key customer and supplier relationships, and provide hands-on support including product trials, training, and troubleshooting.
 
 
 
 
 
 You will develop and implement targeted sales strategies for various market segments such as industrial, decorative, automotive refinish, and protective coatings. Internally, you will collaborate closely with R&amp;D, production, logistics, and regulatory teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Externally, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, offering solutions that enhance performance, efficiency, and profitability.

 Responsibilities

 Take proactive ownership of sales opportunities and initiatives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead daily sales activities, focusing on building long-term, value-driven customer relationships.
 </li>
 <li>
 Meet or exceed sales targets through effective planning and execution.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay updated on market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop new customer relationships while strengthening existing ones across Saudi Arabia.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and implement sales strategies to expand raw material supply into the following key segments: Industrial coatings (OEMs, steel fabrication, general metal finishing), Decorative coatings (architectural paints, plasters, sealers), Automotive refinish (body shops, paint distributors), and Protective coatings (infrastructure, oil &amp; gas, corrosion-resistant applications)
 </li>

 Manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure profitability, customer satisfaction, and retention.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide technical support and expertise on coatings formulations, application methods, and performance characteristics.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct product trials, provide lab support, and troubleshoot issues alongside customer and supplier technical teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deliver technical presentations and customer training sessions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as the primary point of contact for key customers and strategic suppliers in Saudi Arabia.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate internally with R&amp;D, production, logistics, and regulatory teams to maintain high service standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and submit accurate weekly visit reports and maintain detailed CRM activity records.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct sales forecasting and support inventory planning and management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
 </li>

 Requirements
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Coatings Technology.
 </li>
 <li>
 Additional certifications in sales, business development, or technical selling are an advantage.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 5 to 8 years of sales or technical service experience in the coatings, specialty chemicals, or raw materials industry.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian paints and coatings market, including key customers, application segments, and distribution channels.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.
 </li>
 <li>
 Problem-solving mindset with the ability to offer customized, value-based solutions to clients.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in using CRM, Office 365, and basic knowledge of lab and testing procedures relevant to coatings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid Saudi Arabian driving license.
 </li>
 <li>
 Willingness to travel across the Kingdom for client meetings, site visits, and supplier coordination.
 </li>
