The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Family Physician.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides primary health care services consistent with the philosophy of Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Program. Assist the Medical Director as a preceptor and professional supervisor to the mid-level providers.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Licensed California Physician, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Practice required.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience in the delivery of primary care.</li><li>
CPR certification, ACLS, PALS certification preferred.</li><li>
Must be fingerprinted and pass background check.</li><li>
Must pass pre-employment drug screening.</li><li>
Indian preference.</li></ul>
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Provide direct medical services within the scope of a Family Practice Physician with optional obstetrics to program patients while demonstrating awareness and sensitivity to Native American health care needs. Focus is on patients with chronic, unstable or multi-system problems but does include acute simple illness as well as health care maintenance.
2. Record patient chart entries in Subjective, Objective, Assessment Plan (SOAP) format, following RRIHS policies, and Medicaid and Medicare guidelines.
3. Assure that health education is provided with each patient encounter.
4. Assist in the development of Standards of Care for the medical department.
5. Provide required federal and state ambulatory patient care data on appropriate forms.
6. Serve as preceptor for FNP/PA and other mid-level clinic providers, including consultations, case presentations, chart review, on-the-job training and peer review.
7. Obtains appropriate consultations when problems presented are outside the scope of practice or when unfamiliar with a particular aspect of patient care.
8. Provide out-of-clinic patient services as determined with Executive Director of Health Services, including but not limited to, procedures, surgeries, deliveries, newborn care, hospice care or home visits.
9. Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including regularly scheduled department and provider meetings, case management, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Drug Utilization and Review, clinical audits and peer review.
10. Advise the Medical Department Management Team of any situations that may adversely impact the efficiency of the Medical Department.

Family Physician

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Dentist for our Trinity Health Center in Weaverville, California. This is a full-time position with a preferred schedule of four 10-hour shifts.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide dental care services to patients within the clinic service area. Assist the Dental Director with the coordination of administrative procedures.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Graduate of an accredited school of Dentistry with Doctor Dental Surgery (DDS) degree or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).</li><li>
Current California State Board of Dentistry License.</li><li>
CPR certification.</li><li>
Current DEA Class 3 License.</li><li>
Demonstrated work experience as a Dentist in private or clinical practice.</li><li>
Must pass pre-employment drug screening.</li><li>
Indian preference.</li><li>
Must be fingerprinted and pass background check.</li></ul> 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Performs all skills as defined by the RRTHC Scope of Services.
2. Provide routine dental care services including general restorative and preventative procedures, crown and bridge, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, prosthetics dentistry, identifying oral pathology and provide oral surgery.
3. Provide dental care services, including obtaining dental history specific to the patient's current clinic visit, completing appropriate examination of patient, and developing treatment plan with appropriate follow up and writing prescriptions for required medication.
4. Review patient charts preceding appointments and record visits in appropriate format.
5. Provide clinical guidance and counsel to other clinic personnel.
6. Supervise clinical procedures performed by Registered Dental Hygienists and Registered Dental Assistants.
7. Record patient chart entries subjectively in Electronic Dental Record, following RRTHS policies and MediCal guidelines.
8. Consult with clinic dental staff on patient care issues.
9. Participate in the development, maintenance and review of dental department protocols, policies and standardized procedures.
10. Ensure all OSHA, Dental Board, and Redding Rancheria Dental Clinic policies and procedures are properly followed.
11. Interact with patients and instruct them on proper oral care and nutritional counselling
12. Train dental assistants.
13. Obtains appropriate consultations or refer to specialists when problems presented are outside the scope of practice or when unfamiliar with a particular aspect of patient care.
14. Work closely with medical personnel to provide care for medically complex patients.
15. Share in administrative tasks including verification of PRC/benefits, hygiene sign offs/face to face encounters.
16. Provide anxiolytic medication for dental phobic patients (Nitrous oxide).
17. Rotate among other Redding Rancheria health campuses.
