<div><p>The Training Superintendent leads the training department. Responsible for developing and overseeing training programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing a team of trainers and training coordinators. The ideal candidate will possess a MSHA Blue Card, First Aid training certification, and a strong background in underground mining operations.</p></div>
<br><div><div><ul><li>Develop implement and manage comprehensive training programs for underground mining personnel ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
</li></ul><ul><li>Lead and manage a team of trainers and training coordinators providing guidance support and professional development opportunities.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure all training programs comply with MSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain and update training materials to reflect changes in industry practices technology and regulations.
</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct regular training sessions including leadership development, task &amp; equipment operation and emergency response procedures.
</li></ul><ul><li>Oversee the assessment and certification of trainees ensuring they meet the required competency levels.
</li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate with other departments to ensure training programs align with overall company goals and objectives.
</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct regular audits and evaluations of training programs to identify areas for improvement.
</li></ul><ul><li>Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and participate in safety inspections and audits.
</li></ul><ul><li>Stay updated with industry trends new technologies and best practices in underground mining training.

</b></p><p>High School Diploma<br>
</p><p></p><p><b>Work Experience:
</b></p><p>Proven experience in underground mining operations with a minimum of five years in a supervisory or training role.<br>
</p><p></p><p><b>Knowledge Required </b>:
</p><div><ul><li>Knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems highly desirable.
</li></ul><ul><li>Must be able to demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials.
</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of the mining industry underground environment desirable.
</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge and understanding of mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining.
</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
</li></ul><ul><li>Strong leadership and team management skills with experience managing a team of 10 or more individuals.
</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information.
</li></ul><ul><li>Strong record keeping skills.
</li></ul>Commitment to promoting a safe and productive work environment.<br>

</b></p><div><ul><li>MSHA blue card certification is required.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to pass background clearance check, drug screening and physical.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work in an office setting for extended periods
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work in an underground mining environment including exposure to various physical conditions and the need for personal protective equipment.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
</li></ul><ul><li>High level of attention to detail, neatness and accuracy.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
</li></ul><ul><li>State Driver&rsquo;s License.
</li></ul><ul><li>Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
</li></ul><ul><li>Abide by Company Health and Safety standards and report any unsafe acts or conditions to a supervisor and/or a member of the management team.
</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for the use of all safety equipment, i.e., lanyards, warning signs and labeling, work permits according to company rules and applicable legislation.
</li></ul><ul><li>Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.
</li></ul><ul><li>Must have knowledge of OSHA and MSHA legislation and know how to effectively use Safety Data Sheets (SDS). MSHA Certification is required by site.
</li></ul><ul><li>Follow Client on-site Health and Safety requirements.
</li></ul><ul><li>Completes Risk Assessments for each and every new and out of the ordinary task.</li></ul></div></div>
