 Purpose Of Your Work
 
 
 
 The Warehouse Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing all inbound shipment activities, ensuring accurate driver check-in, document processing, and real-time communication with both internal teams and customers. This role plays a critical part in maintaining receiving flow, resolving discrepancies, and supporting efficient dock operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 Inbound Receiving &amp; Driver Check-In
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound drivers upon arrival
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage driver check-in/check-out process, ensuring proper documentation is collected and verified (BOLs, packing slips, ASNs, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Assign dock doors and coordinate unloading schedules with warehouse operations
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain accurate logs of inbound arrivals, delays, and dock assignments
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Documentation &amp; System Processing
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Review and validate inbound shipment documentation for accuracy and completeness
 </li>
 <li>
 Enter receiving data into WMS/ERP systems (e.g., JDE, RF systems, or equivalent)
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing to support inventory visibility
 </li>
 <li>
 Organize and maintain all receiving paperwork (physical and electronic filing)
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Discrepancy Resolution
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Identify and document shipment discrepancies (shortages, overages, damages, incorrect items)
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate issues clearly to internal teams (supervisors, inventory control) and customers
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain detailed records of all exceptions and resolutions
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Customer Communication
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Manage inbound/outbound email communication related to receiving activity
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipment status, discrepancies, and documentation
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide professional, timely updates to ensure strong customer satisfaction
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with customer representatives on special receiving instructions or issues
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Dock Coordination &amp; Operations Support
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Work closely with warehouse supervisors and dock teams to ensure smooth workflow
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor dock activity and adjust schedules as needed to avoid congestion or delays
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate priority shipments and special handling requirements
 </li>
 <li>
 Support continuous improvement efforts to increase receiving efficiency
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 1&ndash;3 years of warehouse, logistics, or receiving experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with WMS/ERP systems (JDE experience a plus)
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work flexible hours, including potential weekends
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Preferred Experience
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Experience handling FTL, LTL, and parcel shipments
 </li>
 <li>
 Background in high-SKU or production-support environments
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with RF scanning processes and inventory systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience supporting customer-facing operations

 </ul>
 
 Work Environment

 Warehouse and office setting with frequent interaction on the dock

 Fast-paced operation with high volume of inbound shipments

 Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)

 Work Schedule
 
 
 
 This position is full-time and onsite Monday through Friday ~ 8am-5pm
 
 
 
 Compensation Range
 
 
 
 Salary Range: $18-$25
 
 
 This position is eligible to earn (annual) incentives based on individual and company performance.
