We are Regency Village at Prineville, centrally located in Prineville, OR. We are a retirement / assisted living community providing each individual compassionate care in a nurturing environment. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our team.:
 
As a caregiver, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, social-recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks. You will report to the wellness director.:
 
You Will: 
<ul>
<li>Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.</li>
<li>Communicate problems, concerns, and issues with resident apartments, buildings, and grounds with an appropriate team member.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.</li>
<li>Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.</li>
<li>Comply with regulatory standards and OSHA guidelines, and incident reporting guidelines.</li>
<li>Relate and communicate with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.</li>
<li>Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.</li>
</ul>
You currently: 
<ul>
<li>Preferred candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving. If new to healthcare, we will train.</li>
<li>Exude a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.</li>
<li>Compose reports in English.</li>

Caregiver

As a CMA, you provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. You also administer, instruct, and monitor resident medications and report to the wellness director.:
 
You Will: 
<ul>
<li>Ensure proper dosage/distribution and instruct residents on application/consumption of medication per the direction of their physician</li>
<li>Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.</li>
<li>Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements</li>
<li>Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.</li>
<li>Document care in keeping with department policies</li>
</ul>
You Currently: 
<ul>
<li>Possess an HCA certification in the state of employment</li>
<li>Can obtain CPR/BLS card</li>
<li>Read, write, speak and understand English</li>
<li>Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures</li>
<li>Have compassion and interest in working with the senior population</li>
<li>Communicate and interact tactfully with others</li>
</ul>
