CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK
The primary duties include typing, computer and other clerical tasks. Must have ability to operate and maintain control of the Center&rsquo;s phone system. Must have ability to record and maintain files in keeping with center policies
EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Maintains documentation as evidence that all duties are completed in accordance with program requirements contained in the Mississippi Department of Mental Health Operational Standards.</li><li>
Maintains proper training, continuing education, qualifications, and other certifications required for this position as written in the Mississippi Department of Mental Health Operational Standards.</li><li>
Represents Region 8 and Region 8 Administration in a positive manner at all times both internally and externally.</li><li>
Always leads by example and is a positive role model for coworkers.</li><li>
Receives calls and gives out information requiring knowledge of the office or work system.</li><li>
Arranges for appointments.</li><li>
Maintains office and confidential files.</li><li>
Must possess good communication skills which enable he/she to give out routine information of a non-technical nature to the public on the services offered by Region 8.</li><li>
Routes calls and visitors in a courteous and efficient manner.</li><li>
Typing/Transcription duties as required.</li><li>
All other duties as assigned by Supervisors.</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Must possess at a minimum a high school diploma or GED equivalent and have two (2) years of experience.</li><li>
Must have a valid Mississippi driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>
Must pass a criminal background check</li><li>
Typing, transcription skills and computer skills required.</li><li>
Good communication skills.</li></ul>
