Relative Dynamics Inc. is seeking to hire a Test Engineer 2, to support laser and electro-optical development for a commercial space customer. The position is located in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
What You'll Get to Do:
<ul><li>Perform space-flight qualification testing of lasers and electro-optic devices.</li>
<li>Design, model, and analyze optical devices and assemblies for use on a space-flight mission.</li>
<li>Develop and support the execution of procedures, work instructions, and process flows.</li>
<li>Support environmental test campaigns.</li>
<li>Work in a team environment and report to customer lead for technical support, task assignment, and processes.</li>
<li>Perform other tasks as assigned.</li>
</ul>
What You'll Need:
Requirements:
<ul><li>M.S. Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering</li>
<li>Experience preforming space-flight qualification testing of navigation sensor such as IMUs, lasers, star trackers, and terrain based cameras.</li>
<li>Experience writing and executing navigation sensor based test plans and procedures</li>
<li>Experience performing environmental test campaigns including radiation, vibration, and thermal vacuum testing</li>
<li>Routine travel to Houston, TX and other vendor sites is required.</li>
</ul>
Preferences:
<ul><li>1+ years experience with Extended Kalman Filters</li>
<li>5+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in laser and electro-optic device testing and metrology</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with fiber optics including handling and cleaning procedures</li>
<li>Experience with optical design, modeling, and analysis. TracePro experience preferred</li>
<li>Experience with hardware field testing</li>

Relative Dynamics Inc. is seeking to hire a Senior Navigation Engineer, to support real-time navigation flight software development, HWIL navigation sensor integration, performance, and testing. The position is located in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
What You'll Get to Do:
<ul><li>Work in a cross-functional team on the design, development, manufacture, test, and on-orbit operation of flight and ground support hardware.</li>
<li>Be a leader and be responsible for the entire cradle-to-grave product development process, including requirements development, sensor selection, algorithm design, flight software development and testing, and real-time HWIL navigation performance verification.</li>
<li>Support aircraft testing of sensor assemblies that may require travel to test ranges within the continental U.S.</li>
<li>Work in a team environment, supporting an exciting, dynamic, and aggressive delivery schedule.</li>

<li>Experience in relative navigation, image processing, and feature detection techniques</li>
<li>Experience with C, C++, and Python</li>
<li>Experience with GN&amp;C sensor testing, planning, and modelling</li>
<li>Experience with supporting a multi-disciplinary team</li>
<li>Experience with spacecraft dynamics and orbital mechanics</li>
<li>Experience with JIRA and Agile processes</li>
<li>Experience with VxWorks and/or other realtime operating systems is preferred</li>
<li>Experience with Git version control preferred</li>
<li>Prior experience with IMUs, GPS, magnetometers, star trackers, optical cameras, and hazardous laser systems is preferred.</li>
