A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
As a Warehouse Associate, you play a crucial role in the smooth running of our distribution center. If our customers' orders don't get shipped, we can't do business. So, it's up to you to get the shipments on their way. Your day is never dull as you tackle the variety of tasks it takes to fulfill an order. When a new one comes in, you select the parts and pack them up, and the boxes are then loaded into trucks for shipment. You always have an RF scanner on hand to ensure that each part is tracked to its final destination.
Troubleshooting is constantly on your mind. As you pick each part, you check it over to make sure it meets quality requirements. You know what it's like to receive a perfectly picked and packed order, and you want our customers to have that same satisfying experience every time they open a shipment from us. Picturing those contented customers makes your day fly by. You are proud of the work you do! 
QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
High school diploma OR equivalent</li><li>
18+ years old</li><li>
Capacity to perform the physical requirements of the job, including standing for extended periods and climbing short ladders</li><li>
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs</li><li>
Willingness to adhere to all safety procedures</li></ul>

WORK SCHEDULE
This laborer position enjoys an assigned schedule of 8-hour shifts Mondays through Fridays, starting between 7 am - 10 am.

Full Job Description:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing routine warehouse operations that may include stocking, order picking, receiving, shipping, and quality control measures, as well as other warehouse duties as necessary. The Associate should be accurate, energetic, have a proven track record, and want to grow with an established company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receiving:<ul><li>
Unload deliveries (boxes and pallets), organize packages, receive them into computer system</li></ul>
Stocking:<ul><li>
Put received parts away in correct pick/bin locations</li><li>
Locate and retrieve over stock from the inventory inquiry or pick list; fill primary location bin box</li><li>
Return excess parts to over stock</li></ul>
Order Picking:<ul><li>
Locate and pull parts</li><li>
Pick, consolidate, and stage orders for local deliveries, parcel post shipments, and will call</li><li>
Bag and mark all bulk parts legibly with applicable part numbers</li></ul>
Shipping:<ul><li>
Double check picked orders, pack in appropriate container, and manifest</li><li>
Palletize stock orders and stretch wrap pallet</li></ul>
Other Warehouse Duties:<ul><li>
Use handheld scanners and navigate in computer programs</li><li>
Assist with physical inventory and cycle counting</li><li>
Must be able to pass certification of training on warehouse equipment where applicable (e.g., fork truck, wave picker, pallet jack, etc.)</li></ul> 
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS<ul><li>
Maintain clear records on all inventory and stock</li><li>
Inspect all stock for damages and maintain record of damages</li><li>
Organize the warehouse space</li><li>
Keep warehouse and facilities clean</li><li>
Discard all excess cardboard when stocking into recycle container or cardboard shredder</li><li>
Perform related duties as assigned by Manager</li><li>
Perform location maintenance</li></ul> 
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>
High School diploma or equivalent preferred</li><li>
Ability to work shifts</li><li>
Distribution Center / warehouse experience a plus</li><li>
Ability to work on a varied set of tasks &amp; manage multiple priorities</li></ul>
