 About The Team
 
 
 
 In Pakistan, GRC works with local and international partners to strengthen labour rights accountability in the garment sector by empowering workers through awareness-raising sessions, community building, and tailored legal aid. Over the past two years, legal aid centres and women workers&rsquo; cafes have become key venues for capacity building and support, fostering a &ldquo;virtuous circle&rdquo; of empowerment and legal recourse. As a result of the project, workers report feeling safer in voicing concerns and seeking assistance. This shift in worker confidence marks a significant step toward ensuring justice in high-risk areas by building community trust and resilience against rights abuses.
 
 
 We are seeking a
 
 Business &amp; Human Rights Legal Adviser
 
 to join our team in Pakistan. The BHR Legal Adviser is responsible for assisting with the delivery of project activities with Civil Society Organisations, international garment brands and government actors in the garment and apparel sector in Pakistan. The role carries out legal research for project activities; analysing evidence; drafting and editing legal submissions and legal accountability materials and tools; preparing training/mentorship materials and undertaking preparatory work.

 The Role
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Deliver workshops, multi-stakeholder events, and training courses.
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitate meetings and other interactions with relevant stakeholders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct legal research and jurisprudence reviews.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review legal briefs on business-related human rights violations, access to remedy, documentation, and investigation and support in drafting responses for dissemination.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the smooth delivery of all project-related advocacy work, including launch events, roundtable discussions and briefing sessions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support with undertaking regular site visits to field legal aid centres to meet field staff and workers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide guidance on related international law and regulatory frameworks on business and human rights and associated legislation and link these to Pakistan&rsquo;s domestic legal system and compliance mechanisms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Align with other team members to ensure efficient working streams and timely completion of project deliverables.
 </li>
 <li>
 Actively participate in team brainstorming sessions on project implementation strategies bringing local context, stakeholder insights, and practical knowledge of administrative procedures.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Your Background
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 4+ years experience in business and human rights, ideally with considerable knowledge in international human rights, criminal and/or humanitarian law.
 </li>
 <li>
 Law degree, admission to the relevant bar and LLM preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Sound working knowledge of business and human rights laws and regulations on national and regional level.
 </li>
 <li>
 Theoretical and/or practical knowledge on international labour rights and the garment and apparel sector.
 </li>
 <li>
 Research experience desirable (knowledgeable of Pakistani laws and ideally access to local legal databases/repositories) and familiarity with judicial and administrative complaint mechanisms).
 </li>
 <li>
 Practical experience working with a variety of clients including businesses, civil society organisations, and governmental institutions particularly those engaged in labour rights, corporate accountability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to work on their own initiative and with limited supervision.
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to work as part of a multicultural remote team working towards a common goal and respectful of differentiating working approaches.
 </li>
 <li>
 Flexible, versatile, and creative and able to work in a changeable &amp; fast-moving environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Capable of spontaneously supporting project deliverables that are not in the defined remit where needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proactive character, suggesting solutions and approaches, anticipating problems and foresees potential challenges.
 </li>

 Reporting to the Head of Mission, the Administrative Cordinator will be in charge of managing the finance teams in the mission.
 
 
 Your main tasks will be as follows (non-exhaustive and evolving list):

 Contribute to the mission&rsquo;s operational strategy and decision-making by analyzing challenges and proposing solutions ;

 Oversee accounting procedures, ensure accurate data entry, and manage budget preparation, including project and annual budgets ;

 Define and update cash management procedures, ensure proper bank reconciliation, and organize fund transfers as needed ;

 Reporting directly to the Head of Mission, as part of the Coordination Team and while supervising the Logistics team, you will be in charge of coordinating, planning and guaranteeing the follow-up on logistic activities as well as contributing to the elaboration of the mission's operational strategy.

 Contribute to the mission&rsquo;s overall operational strategy and provide strong leadership and technical support to ensure efficient, timely logistics service delivery to all projects ;

 Ensure robust systems are in place for procurement, fleet, assets, and warehouse management while maintaining full compliance with donor regulations, organizational procedures, and logistics SOPs ;
