<div><p><b>Job Summary:</b></p><p>
Assists and provides a range of legal support and administration to Company attorney(s) and human resources regarding all legal-related and regulatory-related matters involving Remington College, and its campuses. Additionally, this position is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas.</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></h3><ul><li>
Adheres to all Company policies and procedures and operates at all times within state and federal statutes and regulations and within standards of accreditation.</li><li>
Prepares field trip waivers, as needed.</li><li>
Conducts research and drafts legal documents, as needed.</li><li>
Handles business license renewals.</li><li>
Handles responding to employee and student subpoenas.</li><li>
Maintains, reviews, and updates legal and human resource policies in consultation with upper management.</li><li>
Handles agent permit applications, as needed.</li><li>
Reviews and works with payroll to file garnishment paperwork.</li><li>
Reviews leases when needed.</li><li>
Assists with completing regulatory items for the College, including but not limited to the Clery Act Annual Security Report requirements, Drug Free Schools Communities Act requirements, and Stop Campus Hazing Act requirements.<ul><li>
Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs; and determining applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.</li><li>
Builds applicant sources and attracts applicants by researching and contacting community services, colleges, , and internet sites; placing job advertisements; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.</li><li>
Evaluates applicants and prospective employees by reviewing resumes, interviewing applicants as needed; analyzing responses; verifying references; and comparing qualifications to job requirements.</li><li>
Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.</li><li>
Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; and conducting training.</li><li>
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.</li><li>
Handles recruitment process from beginning to end, including: processing job requisitions; coordinating appropriate employment testing; coordinating background checks; conducting employment verifications as needed;; ensuring completion of all onboarding paperwork; conducting new hire orientation; and tracking employment activity for the college.</li><li>
Assists in conducting exit interviews.<ul><li>
Assists in the review and revision of all job descriptions.</li><li>
Monitor I-9 reporting to ensure all campuses stay compliant.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>
Handle general administrative tasks for the HR and Legal Departments.</li><li>
Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.</li><li>
Maintains professional and effective working relationships with all other Company personnel.</li><li>
Conducts his or her professional and personal life in a fashion that fosters a positive impression of the Company.</li><li>
Performs the job on site when required. Remote work is appropriate when onsite work is not required. Subject to change if superseded by Human Resource policy regarding remote work.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Job Requirements</b></h1><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Education:</b></h3><ul><li>
An associate&rsquo;s degree (A bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred).</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Experience:</b></h3><ul><li>
At least one (1) to two (2) years of related experience preferred.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications, Certifications, and/or License Requirements:</b></h3><ul><li>
Paralegal certification preferred.</li></ul></div>
